Pray for me you guys!! I'm a married mom of 3 boys. I just started back working full time a month ago...after 2 years! It is hard but I have kept my time with God each morning! 🙌🏽I just lost a close friend I've known most of my life to cancer and it has been tough...to say the least. To add onto what Melody said about how to stay rooted in Christ. I've been through the on and off. Getting distracted by life in general. I'd say what has helped me and is still helping me is praying to the Holy Spirit. Being totally honest and totally vulnerable with Him and just realizing that its a space where there's no judgment. If I feel like I'm drifing away I'm honest with the Holy Spirit with that and ask for help. If I'm having lustful thoughts I immediately confess it to the Holy Sipirt and ask for help and then make conscious decisions to stop watching or listening to something. Still a work in progress but He does come through.

My celibacy journey included a time where I was angry at God because I thought it wasn’t helping me enough since I was struggling SO hard. I soon enough got over it and now it’s fine. It’s hard sometimes, because I have memories of my sexual encounters and they sometimes play in my head, and then I can actually make fantasies about them because I have enough experience to do so. Whenever my brain is going on a spiral I pray and ask God to keep me on the straight and narrow and remind myself that waiting is totally going to be worth it in the end. I don’t know how close my end is lol I’m in my early 20s and I see no avenue where I’ll get married soon but God is the author of my life and I’m open to His will.

I’m in my 30’s and I’m dealing with the same thing 🤦🏾‍♀️ I struggle everyday, but I’m learning to re-work my way of thinking. I had to cut out certain songs, movie’s, tv shows etc..... but it’s getting easier everyday! Let’s stand strong in the Word💪🏾❤️

I don’t listen to secular music anymore, I don’t watch certain KZreadrs, I’ve been on a fast from IG, deleted my Twitter account, and once this semester of school ends (which is also my final semester- YAY) I’m going off grid. I’m getting myself closer to God, as close as I possible can be. Everything else is unimportant.

Put God first - in the morning He is first (not work, not exercise, etc.). This has helped me not backslide. When I put him first, it aligns my day and God helps me organize what is important for the day. Allow God to help you in the morning. God is my help every morning. Start every day with him.

A big thing about trying not to backslide is continually and I mean continually lol keep asking the lord to help you to stay with him and DON NOT GIVE UP ASKING!!!! All that melody said is correct but the biggest thing is to pray and ask for help no matter how long it takes God hears you for sure but KEEP ASKING KEEP GOING!!!!!

There is NO such thing as backsliding. Even as saved individuals, we still commit acts of sin, tho we are no longer sinner.. We are saved by Gods grace everyday, and everyday that we wake up in the land of the living, there is ALWAYS AND FOREVER A NEW PLATE OF GRACE. Grace for Grace..because it's not about how good we are, it's about how good HE IS.

Cant wait for the video on celibacy. I have been on this journey for a bit over a year now and its had some trying moments. In the past I had friends that were celibate as well however, they decided that it was something they conquered and now...let's just say they're living their best lives lol. After ending a long term relationship, I urge ya'll to listen to Melody when she says sex "smooths things over". Those red flags become transparent or "tickled pink" lol, and you miss out on an opportunity to address things or recognize reality. I am truly believing God for the next relationship to be with the person he has created for me, but until then I'm really leaning into singleness. Trying to embrace this as a time to learn God, myself, and surrender to his restructuring.

Good evening, I’ve been married for 10 years and my helpful hints for you newlyweds are: Distinguish between what you feel and what’s real! Meaning if you get angry realize that’s all your are is angry no need to overreact and want to leave, because after cooler heads prevail you’ll realize the truth of the situation. Understand that the foundation that your relationship with your spouse was built upon, is what y’all will go to and rely on in hard times and good times! GOD already told you what’s going to happen upon y’all journey in marriage: For Richer or Poorer, Through Sickness and Health, and til Death do you part. Congrats and hope all remains well!
