I agree! There is no need to go into debt for your wedding. A wedding is a one day event, but marriage is for life.

Facts! A lot of times folks focus more on the wedding and not the marriage. Big mistake! Like you said, the wedding is one day. It doesn’t make sense going into debt for a few hours

It’s funny that a few minutes ago before watching your video I had an idea (or should I say the Lord gave me an idea) to start saving money for my wedding! First of all, I don’t have a boyfriend or I’m not even talking to anyone 😂 I think the Lord wants to be prepared! I love Him so much❤️

Yes, my husband and I are both the same way in that we are against debt! We spent 5k for a 10k wedding! A lot of our family members helped out. We didn't even have to ask which was so generous of them!

My fiancé and I do marriage counseling as well and have been since August now. Communication and community we find are so so important. A good book to read as well is The Purpose and Power of Love and Marriage by Myles Munroe (a Pastor from the Bahamas). It focuses on a God centered marriage it’s so good

Right now I'm reading and studying this book called Proverbs 31Man and it's really opening up my understanding and awareness towards my personal relationship with God and how I'm suppose to lead my future wife and children through life. I understand that married is a work and it's the greatest honor from God to man. Because God produce women to be a piece of heaven or hell based on how a man leads through God's unconditional love, patience, kindness, joy for each other, and through the rich timee and poor times. Regarding a credit card. Since you guys are financially disciplined. I would suggest using a reward credit card for all the wedding expenses. That way you can earn points/cash to pay for your honeymoon. The card is at no expense to you becuase you have the money saved to pay off the balance. Rewards card are ONLY beneficial for the financially disciplined, which you guys are. This is how my husband and I pay for our trips. Congratulations and thank you for sharing you faith!

I’m all for sort of splurging on a wedding; especially if our union is from God. Yea it’s only one day but it will be Hands down the Biggest day of your life. I come from a huge family and I want my husband to come from one as well. I want to invite everyone whose been supportive during our lives, at least 200 people. I guess I’m all for saving (hardcore) for a wedding but I wouldn’t hesitate to take out a small loan if we paid it off in a year or less. Your fiancé is very smart wise though. He exudes wisdom and strength. May the Lord continue to bless your union 💕

The most important thing to remember is that you can really prepare for marriage; the only thing you can do is prepare to become one with someone. There are trials and tribulations that you will encounter in a marriage that you're not even thinking about when you're single. The most important thing to remember is that a man and a woman join together, not work together. There is a difference between working and joining together to build something.
