A Rivian? I'm in Charlotte, as I know you all are. I'd love to see it when it comes in. I've had an order in for an R1S Adventure since April 2021. I am kicking myself for not getting the preorder in earlier enough to get the LE version, as I really love LE Green!

Just a heads up when you mentioned XC40R......Its the more less same interior space, smaller screen, less range. I give your Rivian 10 mths before you want out.

Rivian has justification for not being 100% - they're a new company. VW and Polestar don't have that excuse. Rivian is also iterating very quickly and listening to customers for updates.

@@brandenflasch I strongly disagree. You cannot even speak against Polestar on pair with VW, Polestar is a new Volvo subsidiary and their first model was not even an all electric car and the Polestar 1 was a hybrid, they are a much newer company to the whole automotive business compared to Legacy automakers, let alone the EV transition. Rivian is also so much more expensive than a Polestar 2.

Will also look forward to your review on the Rivian. Having seen another review on Alex on Autos, I’ve been impressed with the fit and finish, the luxury features, the possibly better ride, and the more user friendly size (as compared with the Ford Lightening. A bit pricey though , as in the Tesla Model X range. Great to hear 👂 your views on electric cars.

Is the restart of the screen due to using apply car play? I have no issues is why I ask.

Not due to CarPlay, just dumb issues. I've used CarPlay a handful of times in the Polestar.

Would love if you can explain in a future video what you paid vs what you're gonna get for it/who you sell it to.

I've sold the ID.4, MINI and Polestar for essentially MSRP.

How are you selling the polestar and have you seen the used value increase / decrease bc it no longer qualifies for the ev tax credit?

I don't think it's a US thing.

The Polestar 2 had so much promise with Android Automotive but they just botched the implementation with the tiny (& buggy) center screen. I guess you're getting a Rivian, hopefully you can get your hands on an E-GMP car at least to do charging station tests. I'd like to see E-GMP cars on ChargePoint CPE-250s (both paired and unpaired configs) and BTC Power L3S 50 kW units. I still haven't been able to find any tests or data on KZread or elsewhere online.

Kyle hasn't done full tests of e-GMP on CPE250s, but he has charged on them in paired config for range tests and they'll do about 115kW.

@@brandenflasch Oh okay, I guess I'd have to look at the full livestreams on OOS Motoring for that footage. I think Kyle cuts most of that out in the range test video for time. If you could test BTC Power L3S chargers then that would be helpful. Francis Energy has stated E-GMP cars are incompatible with their L3S units installed in Oklahoma. I'm still trying to find out if it's a more widespread issue.

@@brandenflasch Well I've checked on PlugShare and it looks like that statement is true. The L3S maxes out at 500 V and 125 A so I suspect it's a communication issue. E-GMP cars initially request >700 V and the charger doesn't know what to do so it errors out. It doesn't let the car request 450 V like it normally would on 500 V chargers. What remains to be seen is if the issue is old firmware on Francis' network of chargers or a hardware issue that affects all L3S models. There's a non-networked L3S near me but I'm still waiting for my EV6 to arrive.

I haven’t had to restart my screen in months. It’s slower than I’d like but pretty stable recently.

Hopefully, Polstar sees this review and makes some design changes.

I can’t imagine having just one cup holder in the center console

It's an awesome car and I haven't had any of the issues they talked about in the video. The car can be a little cramped so if you're more rubenesque, like Kalie, then it can feel a little tight and may cause bruising.

I've watched a bunch of polestar 2 videos and it's amazing how many owners in the comments are unhappy or hate the polestar 2

Buying my Polestar 2 and doing a TON of research while watching every video I could on it. I've seen more people in love with the P2 then I've seen drivers hate it. I've had none of these issues he's talking about.

Never mind. That was my first video. Congrats. Beautiful new vehicle. I was thinking about a used polestar for my mother. At least you went from pretty car to pretty truck that seems like it’s going to be great to live with. I hope charging gets better if you travel again.

Wow I am so glad you are getting a better car..... Truck..... But I have driven the Polestar 2 and didn't like it. But I love the ID.4 2022 Pro S RWD, and the 3.1 software updates is great.

This car was definitely the wrong one for you. This is a personal performance car, not a family hauler including food eating and multi supersized drinks / water / slurpies …. You NEED a tall big spacious SUV to accommodate your lifestyle.

My husband loves his polestar 2. It’s not practical and he uses mainly as an around town car. He has always driven small sporty sedans. And the polestar is not any more impractical than his prior bmw 3 series. We’ve gotten our r1t 2 months ago and for a guy who likes small cars, my husband loves it and has taken over it, leaving me to drive the tiny polestar along w the kids.

@@Wasabi9111 Exactly! I just got my ‘23 P2; it will be my around town and trips within 75-100 miles radius from home charger. Anything beyond that, will be done in an ICE CUV. I refuse to waste my time hunting for a public charger.

you can not compare a Rivian with a PS2, it costs 3 times more, many features are copied from Polestar. So please stop crashing a good car. I drive a PS 2 for 1 year now and I am super happy. By the way ventilated seats are also available for the PS 2.

Made in china. Youre not convincing anyone. Tcam, propulsion issues, Sos screen glitches, door handles falling off. Not good at all!

I have not consistently watched enough of your videos to know what’s next, but when guys talk about what spec they are getting it’s usually about their factory ordered Porsches. But a real man’s car in the USA is a pickup truck, it’s just that 18 months ago does not seem long enough. It would be great if you were getting a Rivian R1T, if you need the bed for your business. I would find an R1S much more practical because I don’t want my cargo outside of an air conditioned or heated space. I am definitely in the minority here, I am sure.

I really get upset when you trash the ID4 the way that you do. The car is not Tesla fast but it certainly has power when needed. I guess it just goes to show your age. I will agree with about the software, but what EV doesn't have software issues. The ID 4 is a great car and will be even better once it gets it update.

Lets be honest, the Polestar 2 is kind of a crap car. Even the 2023 freshly delivered cars are already experiencing TCAM and propulsion errors. It really just looks like a Dodge Charger stylingwise.

It's a stunning car IMO, but the TCAM issues are pretty terrible.

So she needs a bigger car. That's not Polestar 2 fault!! It's NOT A SUV!!!! What software version is it on?? Sound like crapple ppl, lol. Enjoy the software issues on the Rivian!! LOL!!!! You can get ventilated seats on the PS2!!

It doesn't have to be an SUV to have 2 functioning cupholders for the 2 front seats. It was on version 2.2, which was the latest until a couple of days ago (I shot this video a few days before 2.3 started rollout).

Who designed the hideous interior anyways? Why is the ugly cheap plastic exterior panels not painted body color? The interior tablet looks so old with massive bezels. Youre wife said the truth, its a crap made in china crap car.

I wanted to get into an EV so the Polestar was my natural choice being a Volvo spinoff but after driving one, I was pretty appalled how terribly designed and cheap the interior is. I'll wait for a Volvo S/V60 EV instead as they do interiors properly.
