Sen 8 is a banger. I have my 5K PRs in that shoe even with the Vaporfly 2 in the rotation. The rods work well as I can load up torque at fast paces and push off with the light strike pro. May give the Adios 8 or Boston 12 a go for marathon effort tempos.
'maybe I'm just too rubbish!'. Excellent. 😂
Snagged the Adios 8 for 50% off at my nearby outlet, and I’ve gotta say it’s generous fit and traditional, responsive ride make it the way to go for my 5K racing later this year! Even more so than the Takumi Sen 8!

The 8 is a very responsive shoe. Such a low stack it’s the flat of 2023.
I got the SL. Great shoe!
Picked up the adios 7 on a deep discount. Wow I can feel the road again! Miracle upon miracles!! Seriously loving this shoe more than any other of the adizero line…best shoe since the Boston 9 imo.

Yes those are really the Boston in disguise.
I consider the Streakfly a Pegasus Turbo 3. I've started using my SF as a casual shoe. After about 250km.
I like the idea of the shoe just not sure where it fits in my rotation. My Sen8's are spot on for my distances and shockingly light in my US size 13.
Nice!🎉

Sen 8/9 are my favorite shoe. I can do everything but recovery in them.

Not missed. Simply left it for another part.
I sent my streakfly back after your review of them. The upper got baggy 😂
I'm in between Adios 8 and Liberate Nitro 2 at the moment. They are in similar price and similar workout purposes.

Hi eddbud 👋 , no sign off the adios 8 or bos 12 on the Aussie adidas site yet , there change heaps of their shoes from what I've seen and they look great to try 👍

Thankfully Adidas realized thay higher stack does not mean better cushioning. I hope other brands follow this movement to out an end to the towering stack daily trainer trend :)

@@EDDBUD look forward to try it out. OOT I got ASICS Cumulus 25, was pretty disappointed. Higher stack daily trainers makes my stride unnatural and having worse vertical oscillation. Not to mention least confident during cornering.
Спасибо!

Interesting comments on the adios 8 - I wanna try it now. I may go for it if I can get a pair on a steep discount. I sold the TS8 with over 400km in them. I replaced them with the TS9. I mentioned I prefer the new upper overlays and the new tongue. The ankle/heel collar updates are also slightly noticeable improvements. The adizero team is dialed in. ✌🏽💙👟

The last few sen and Adios have been magic. Traditional running shoes without the overt bulk and excess.
Bully would've be proud and Jim "this is what you could've won" Bowen. 😂

I always wanted the speed boat.
When you mentioned Miles Kane I was thinking about The Last Shadow Puppets, would be great if he could get some time with Alex Turner to maybe do another album. They had camaraderie... was that the Italian boy?

Miles Kane should hook up with the Dublin Bay stormers.
adios 8 is good and stable for runner who want speed and fast , it is can also use for shuttle run , 12 minutes run for test army in indonesia

Glad it’s working out well for you! 👍🏼👊
Takumi Sen is just about the only adidas shoe I still use..the upper is rubbish but the midsole is a good 5k shoe and the outsole durability is ok..I would much rather use the Rebel V2 or V3 for any serious running..there are a lot of much better light wt racing and training shoes out there other than nike and adidas and most of them are much more durable..
Ed ...Lovin the content and a Shoutout to YEovil Town FC...go Glovers!!!!!!!!!!!! Just a quick inquiry...Im not fast ..im fat and on the wrong side of 60...can I still use a fast shoe ?

Maybe look at the peg turbo next nature or the zoom fly 5
Have you tried the new ASICS hyperspeed? I heard that’s also a contender, but even though I have the sen9 I feel like I would prefer the Adios 8 for shorter distances. I don’t understand why it’s heavier than the sen9 though. I’d like to see them drop the weight a little
@EDDBUD
Жыл бұрын
Haven’t seen much of that shoe. The Adios 8 is heavier due to the mesh and torsion plate plus additional thicker rubber.
Hi! Do you think Adios 8 is better than Adios 6/7? By the way TS8 is wonderful! Works at any pace ❤
@EDDBUD

Yes I think it’s now a more appealing shoe than the 6/7
Hi Ed great video bit late to the party hear just after some your advice really im looking for a new half marathon shoe but want to stay with adidas my last ones was boston 11 I did like them felt fast but slightly clunky and knew they was on my feet all the time and and sort of made it less fun but 😂 now the upper has bust on both shoes and need new ones 😂 i done a half marathon test on my own in them got a 1.49 and want to beat this on an actual event I do get on with the new adizero sl maybe i get more out of them because of my weight and can compress the foam more than most lighter runners but i dont feel they are a good idea for a pb half marathon they feel a bit dead now I was looking at the new boston 12 and the adios 8 and also the takumi 8 but just unsure what to go for out them I am not a very light runner I'm around 90kg so worried I could bottom out the lower profile ones?? And dont want to buy an out right super shoe just yet i do like the looks of them all im slightly drawn to the boston 12s because the more stack but my 11s bust so im abit put off i think i could possibly run faster in the adios 8 if they not gonna bottom on me what's your thoughts on this any advice welcome 😁👍 cheers lee

Great stuff Sounds like just what I need see if I can chip off some time off my half marathon pb might even see how they get on with some inov8 boomerang insoles see if I can cheat my way to get the feeling of the adios pro haha might be a good combo with the new softer light strike 2.0 and light strike pro cheers Edd 👍
Adidas Adizero Adios 8 is built as fast training shoe. So you should not compare it to Streakfly, SC PACER and takumi Sen which are built for short races. ROCKET X 2 is built as a marathon racing shoe. Well, that's just my opinion 🙂
@EDDBUD

I said at the start I’m comparing it to similar weights and use cases. You can run in any shoe.
I know another runners legit when they show up to race in a takumi sen.

@@TheHutchRunsI think Edd's point was the Adios 8 has the softer Lightstrike 2.0 midsole material. May be worth another check if you get a chance, from most reports the 8 is also a touch wider than the 6/7 were.

No. I love some of the adidas models. But the Hoka rocketx 2 is the best Hoka shoe I have tried and I have tried loads.
I have personally found Streakfly being in a no man's land: too unstable for slower paces, not enough fun for 5k efforts and not enough torque and bite for intervals. Takumi Sen is much better (especially on track) but beats you up a little bit.
