When she ended her 'Adele One Night Only' CBS Special by saying "Here's to REAL music, here's to LIVE music, here's to REAL artistry" she meant it. This queen does not care about trends, charts, being a 'celebrity', etc. All she wants to do is create art, and express herself through her music and lyrics in a way that is not only therapeutic for her, but also connects with and helps others. She's a gem. Seriously, a once in a generation artist.

This album isn't just about her divorce, the shame and guilt she feels for her son for breaking up the family. But really, it is about her mental health declining due to the divorce and then her working through it. This interview is the first one where she says it "depression", this album isn't just relatable because of love and failure etc, it is relatable because she struggled with something so many have. Adore her for this transparency and bravery. Beautiful album and story-telling.

Beyoncé’s Lemonade was about a marriage working after a hard patch. Adele’s 30 was about what happens when it doesn’t and how to heal as individual.

I can’t explain the way “My Little Love” destroyed me and built me back up in the midst of horrific PPD with my second kid. There will never be another artist or album that can touch the reverence I have for Adele and 30.

She is so confident and sure of herself as an artist. She knows exactly the kind of music she wants to make, she understands her audience, she doesn't care about catering to trends. And she's got a great sense of humor to top it off. It's SO SO refreshing hearing her talk about her process. Great interview! Zane x Adele are a perfect duo.

Listening to Adele is such a healing experience. Not just in music, but also in conversations. She is so human.

It didn’t even feel like watching an interview? Like two friends catching up. I love that they touched on every song on the album. I hate when insightful artists like Adele are wasted on fluff pieces.

only a minute in, and she said the most relatable thing I've heard this year. "Music was the most reliable friend I've ever had." I'm also an only child and couldn't agree more.

This feels like those late night conversations you have with a really good friend just so honest, authentic, funny, emotional…I’m mesmerized.

Every now and then I come back to this interview to realise what a beautiful woman Adele is. Truly in my opinion (one of) the greatest artist of this century.

“Showing up for yourself means that you can show up for your friends.” 😭 this conversation is so therapeutic 😭

I ADORE THAT SHE FINALLY CALLED IT OUT HOW IT IS, MUSIC NOWADAYS IS DEFINITELY A TRANSACTION AND THERE ARE FEW ACTUAL ARTISTs. I’m so excited to hear actual music.

Zane Lowe is the BEST interviewer of this generation in the way that he doesn't come off as an interviewer but a Friend.

There's just something old school about Adele that I like. She's not afraid to go against the trend. In the Age of Tik Tok, we've been brainwashed to go with the latest fad, kinda like reliving high school over again. Then comes Adele who shows what Real and Substance mean. She's so secure with her Art and Inner Voice that she's not afraid to go to another level. That's what people are responding to.

To Be Loved is truly one of her best songs, gutting and perfect.

I'm a gen z, but I've been a fan of Adele since her album 19, I love how you can feel her raw emotions through her music. I've been very fond of both Adele and Amy Winehouse since the first time I heard their songs, what they both have in common is they're truly talented individuals

I love how she normalizes that its okay to acknowledge that you’re not okay that when she realized she needed professional help, she didnt hesitate to get it and still be open like “yeah, me taking therapy” that for me is a courageous move :)

This was just a therapy session for me. A glimps of honesty, vunerablity and truth. The interaction between Adele and Zane is so full of mutual love, respect and freindship, that it makes this whole interview so overwellming and such a pleasure to see and listen to. I cannot wait to sit and fully listen to the album from the begining to the end mindfully. Thank you both for your passion and commitment. It is trully inspiring.

I love how it became a conversation which was noticeable from within the first minute when they were talking about Jeff Buckley and Adele was asking Zane questions. That's so much more dynamic. I appreciate the interviewer in settings like this being able to come to a place where their perspective is respected by the people they're interviewing ask them questions and it becomes a dialogue and really, you get a better idea of the original person being interviewed that way than you ever would when it's one-sided.

This is a friend with mutual respect for her Artistry. Oprah didn't know Adele. So, it makes a difference when you're trying to interview someone that you are not familiar with such as Adele. She told her friend Gayle that she wasn't not familiar with her or her music. But she, did do her research as to the question that needed to be asked in regard to Adele. I think that she was very accommodating and Oprah don't need rating her show is quite successful. Zane has a lot of knowledge when it come to different Artists in the music business. So, she felt comfortable with Zane. She haven't met Oprah before. Let's be reasonable with you'll unfounded accusations. And everyone has their opinion. I think they both did a great job.

Adele is such a treasure. Such a gem.

Adele is so inspiring. I am in a miserable marriage and I want to leave. She is giving me the courage to just do it. Thank you Adele.

she is just such a beautifully animated and expressive person. and to think she’s so honest and humble with the absolutely incredible amount of success she has had. it is impossible to not adore this woman and appreciate her artistry as well as her humanity. will forever cherish her work and how she’s changed the world.

As a fan, her long breaks from music are absolutely unbearable, but I understand why she does it. This interview is so real. She in one of a kind. How lucky we get to grow up and grow old with Adele

Once in a generation artist. That's what makes them special, because they are rare and held dearly. She makes me proud to be British. I wish Amy could've grown with her, we all know eventually their musical paths would've crossed and made magic.

This man is a great interviewer. No uncomfortable questions no tension to see no pressure to know certain things. Just admiration and respect for her and her work. Amazing.

My husband died and it took me years before I fell apart. Showing up for myself before showing up for anyone else that's powerful. This album does exactly what Adele wanted it to do. Reaches 30, 40, and 50 year olds

She’s a deep thinker if your a deep thinker then her voice, her lyrics, her story speaks and touches people that’s why from young to old from UK to America she reaches so many people, Some people aren’t deep and only hear the music and not the lyrics that’s fine but deep people connect differently to music, I’ve always been very deep from being a young child and a connection to music it’s saved me from my violent upbringing.

No one is nor will ever be able to even just remotely grasp how much she means to me. I have got a memory attached deeply to my heart for every single song she‘s ever put out.

Phenomenal vocalist. Beautiful songwriter. Amazingly humble. Hilariously human. Infectious laugh.. Yup, she’s literally perfect.

Something about Adele, young, old, black or white you just love her. She’s a real artist and you just can’t help but feel her music.

As a painter, I love Adeles art. Her energy is her art, her music is just a tool.

Zane Lowe has got to be one of the best interviewers ever. I have not seen one bad interview from this man.

I LOVE what she said about making music for the "tiktok" and making music for HER GENERATION. Being true to yourself in this world is like swimming against the current, so hard. I admire her for staying true to herself and what really inspires her.

National Healthcare in the U.K., is why Adele was fortunate to have therapy sessions at the young age of 13, 14.... Here in the U.S. it's a luxury to be able to afford therapy if you don't have health insurance.

You guys in the comments don’t understand how grateful I am that Adele is making meaningful healing music, that I can definitely relate to. I’m 17, and before I became a teenager, I thought it would be all colors and rainbows, and life would be even easier as I would have more freedom and whatever. But it has been the opposite for me. I’ve been fighting depression and anxiety ever since. Now don’t get concerned guys, it’s not that bad, but it definitely affects my relationships, including the one with my parents. I’ve hid for so many years thinking I was the only person dealing with this, but Adele and many other celebrities opening up about this sparks a light inside of me and encourages me to go back to the world and heal with the right people. I love you all, I don’t care if you guys don’t care about my life journey, this is me. Buy 30, and God bless Adele forever, she’s done it again!

I am 34 and I know you didn't ask, but I am going to give it anyway lol... if you are not already, PLEASE see a therapist. Creating positive coping mechanisms for the low points and becoming unapologetically confident in yourself and your truth will be the most important thing you do. Those coping mechanisms will get you through so much that is to come. Teens are hard, but in my personal opinion, your 20s are fun, but are the hardest. I still struggle in my mid 30s but I am finally coming into my own. I did not have good coping mechanisms and it messed me up big time. Without going into detail, it almost took everything from me. You already acknowledging your emotions and how they affect you is so incredibly mature and that self knowledge will carry you through. Anyway, yeah.. please find a therapist you love and trust and it will certainly help you through the hard times. Sending you so much love and wishing you the best of luck in your future. Remember YOU are the most important thing in your life. Treat yourself with kindness and understanding, always. Xox

Adele tells everything! I don't understand people saying she is very private about her life. Look in this interview, she practically walked through her entire life in front of us!!

Well she is private in the sense that she doesn't like being a celebrity. Which is why she avoids paparazzi as much as possible, tends to live a very 'under the radar' life, and doesn't turn up at random events for no reason. She only sort of emerges out of her cave when she's promoting an album. But in interviews she has always been very candid and open!

I've always looked upto Zane and his way of interviewing. He is so knowledgeable and respectful and provides a beautiful safe space for artist to share their musical journey

Gotta love how simply genuine she is about who she is. I wish her great happiness. What a stunning being she is.

This is the kind of chat that was needed alongside her CBS special. This feels like a chat about music and emotions between 2 genuine people. Oprah felt too ‘celebrity’.

Oprah’s interview was absolutely horrible.

ugh she's so amazing i love her honesty and sincerity so much

I loved this. She is so in tune with her feelings and the fact that she chose to share this with the public or her fans is pretty amazing. Just heard the entire album & I loved it. She seems like she’s such a genuine person, you can also tell she’s down to earth. I love her! 💕

Adele is an actual artist who actually writes her own music and keeps her clothes on and still sells out shows so much respect for her.

She co writes or songs are written for her. She does not write her own songs.

She lives. And then comes back to gift us her music. She doesn’t live for this. She just lives.

This is literally the same as being sat in a pub with her and being able to ask anything. Love love love it ❤

Adele as a HUMAN is such a priceless treasure. As an ARTIST she is absolutely timeless. What a precious gift she is to all who encounter her talent. & bless her for putting herself first so she can do so.

Not only is she incredibly talented, but she’s also super funny, cool and humble. It would be such a dream to see her live! I really hope she tours for this album 🙏🏼

When she talks about how her friends are amazing and she has never anything different from a true sisterhood and that's so special, I cant relate to that but I love that she appreciates that she has that in her life, that and her son and her amicable relationship with her Ex. So poignant and revealing. Sometimes loneliness is the only rest we get / And the emptiness actually lets us forget

This is without doubt my favorite interview Zane has done. Adele is so open and real about her journey that makes the interview so easy going. I just end up loving her and her music even more!

Zane did a great job with the interview. His honest feelings from each song and the sincere friendship he and Adele have is lovely.

We all know THIS was the interview we were really all waiting for. Zane Lowe has a way of connecting and bringing out a raw, genuine authentic person that is unmatched by anyone else.

Watching this video again because it doesn't get old, love every minute of this convo. So raw and real, a peek into her own reality and her artistic process. Always so refreshing to get to know a star in such an honest, human way

adele is so strong. this is just so empowering.

This was so satisfying to watch, it was like an open therapy session. She is my biggest inspiration like ever & just the fact how she handled the most difficult part of her life just shows us that hope, courage & really working on yourself leads to beautiful destinations. I love her perspective, so honest, sincere, raw & herself. No one tops this artist for me!

This was the therapy I never knew I needed. She put to words what I’ve been feeling. Thank you Adele for this album. I didn’t know I needed this.
