*guy named Britain rn: 👀
I had a teacher who had a dry sense of humour and I’d always try not to laugh in class because it’d only be me getting the jokes lmao. Dry humour takes that extra step of understanding the sarcasm and the hidden playfulness underneath it all. It’s so fun 🤣 Edit: Lmao so many people getting triggered in my comments,, yall the teacher wasn’t known to be the type to make jokes in the first place. He was really strict and quite scary. The only reason I picked up on the fact he was making those dry jokes in the first place is because there was no way he wasn’t. He would say the most ridiculous things with a straight face, but all the students would take it reluctantly and seriously instead of as a joke. Like I said, this teacher was intimidating. Then in comes me with a sense for these types of joke, because I really like them, and now I become the weirdo in class for laughing when all the teacher is doing is talking. You don’t understand how embarrassing it was at first. The looks of utter judgement made me wanna dig a whole and lie in it. But slowly over time, the others realised that this guy actually does make jokes and you won’t get in trouble for laughing at them. My brother, who also has a similar sense of humour as me, experienced the same thing as I did with this teacher. He commented on how him and his friend would be the only two laughing while the rest of the class wouldn’t. It really is a hit or a miss with these types of jokes. Add to that a scary teacher that gets you in trouble for whispering,, yeah I can see why the delivery for his jokes wouldn’t compute for most 💀

@@siouex i feared that conter. No i am not. I live in switzerland. So i dont understand the whole structure of your sentence. I am pretty sure that its somehow wrong. Irony it would be. But that in itself would be a mean trapp and kinda far fetched. So please explain what you mean. ._.
@siouex

@@af2876you do know that by explaining the joke, one simply ruins it, but since you're such a persistent little bugger, here it goes. When you say ironically "politicians are honest","women can't park","Italians can't cook" or "pigs can fly" you intend a joke, but I'm saying that you can't joke about natural american brain resistance for sarcasm, as if they would be vaccinated from it, hence my funny(or rather it was, until I had to explain it)implication that it's not a joke. Second explanation: I'm saying that by telling this joke I'm not joking anymore. Did I managed to get to you? If no, sorry mate, I'm out of crayons.
