Adele to me is a complete contradiction when you think about her two voices. Her ordinary speaking voice is like that of an East End of London navvy with all of the foul language that you'd expect from there and yet her singing voice is just exquisite and she sings like an angel, doesn't she? Funnily enough I'm from the northwest of England and ordinarily I don't like Londoners but in her case I'll make an exception. She's a truly great lady and it's nice to see her being so successful around the world. Long may she continue.

As long as she sings her songs, she is fine. But the real test will come in the future, if her songs are covered by others. IMO, Cyndi Lauper's "Time after Time" , which has been covered 100 plus times, is the song of the century. I appreciate Adele's dramatic renditions. But Cyndi's pure musical beauty, in so many of her songs, will always be my favorite.
