Justification for the sand is on point you like the look and more area for bacteria to colonize. It has begun was all I was thinking when you started adding the salt lol. I like the entire look of the tank that is the hardest part is making sure you like the way it looks. If you walk in the house everyday and like what you see then you are golden. If you walk in and don't like what you see then change it. For most of us the tank is for us our viewing pleasure just keep that in mind. Just my opinion. Keep it up Rico can't wait to see THE BEAST!

Thank you for the quick response. I am going to order a box of it tonight. What’s the best way to start switching salts?

Are the lights pulsing brighter and dimmer. The ceiling above the tank keeps getting brighter then dimmer. Question: why not premixed the salt, then pour it in. I always felt that salt should be mixed first before adding sand. Always felt doing it the way you did, some salt would get trapped in the sand and release over time creating swings in salinity. Not knocking, just asking. Does it matter?
