Implementing rules, communication, and structure with new students, Maverick & Riply!
We never get tired of watching dogs go from pulling on the leash to walking politely alongside us, cowering from their own shadow to confidently overcoming new challenges, impulsively lunging at others to keeping their cool even around distractions. It all starts by teaching and enforcing basic rules with clear communication and routine practice.
Maverick & Riply will both pull heavily on the leash, are easily distracted, and can become anxious around others. Setting safe boundaries and using effective tools for communication is allowing us to shift their state of minds so we can reduce stress and have more beneficial training sessions. They both just started their programs and are already much safer to walk with and forming respectful relationships with us.
