PDF programmed scrolling is a life-saver game-changer!!!! THANK YOU!!!

curious if way to have either or option in PDFs - A/B chord chart, lyric chart, etc. possibly in future update? also another game-changer would be able to add Ableton Link sync out per song tempo start stop to link tracks with AUM, drum machines, etc. LOVE ST3s!

Peter, I get PDFs from Ultimate Guitar and if for example, I just have the bass part in the PDF, there are no lyrics or chords. I would like to offer a couple of suggestions: 1) In the PDF editor, have the capability to enter (and place) text. This would let me add some lyrics and chord symbols. 2) In the lyrics page, if I want to add a time stamp, maybe let me do that with the Option key and the timestamp button. It would automatically add "[pdf@00:01:34 p ]". The time would be the actual time and I would manually fill in the page number and position like 2.5. This is a very helpful program. Thank you for creating this. Dave

Thanks for the suggestions. Option key while pressing a button is not possible as buttons don't have a key modifier.

I'm just testing this and it does not work well at all when viewing the lyrics in full screen. It does not respond when asked to jump to a fine point such as 1.2 or 1.4 etc. It does work if I leave the song list displayed on the left. This leaves the lyrics smaller than I'd like. Am I doing something wrong, or is this a bug?

If you set a scroll point of 1.2 for example the app will make sure that the area 20%-30% down the page is visible. It does not mean that the 20% mark will be on top of the display. Also make sure that you have the latest version 3.5.6 installed as there have been some improvements for this area in that version.

If you have the Stage Traxx app loaded onto Two devices, is it possible to sync them or to update one if you have been working on the other to save loading on songs twice?

Currently this is a manual process by creating a full or database only backup (latter if you did not add any new songs) and restoring that backup on the other device. I have plans on automated iCloud sync but that would increase the minimum iOS version that ST3 would run on to 13. This feature will most likely be released early 2023.

@@stagetraxx Please do ALL you can to continue to provide older versions of Stage Traxx for older computers and iPads that can't be updated. Even a very old iPad or MacBook can still be a VERY good music reader/player and they should be kept out of e-waste if possible. I'm writing this on a 2011 MacBook Pro !!

@@julian.morgan I try to do that but things become more and more complicated especially with some 3rd party libraries I am using. They just drop support for old versions which means from that moment I am stuck with the old version of the library. When this version has issues with the newest iOS release I am forced to increase the required minimum version as 90% of users are on the two newest OS versions and therefore I need to make sure these versions are bug free.

Can you explain your use case? Why would you want to enter lyrics and use a pdf? And in which cases would you switch between them? Wouldn't it be too much hassle to go through your setlist and reconfigure what exactly to display?

@@stagetraxx I also would find this to be a very helpful feature. Use case: I play guitar to accompany my vocalist partner using a backing track without guitar. She wants to see scrolling lyrics on her iPad, I want to see a PDF of the music on my MacBook, but we want to share the song library. As things are I think we would have to keep two versions of each song: one with text based lyrics and one with a PDF?

@@julian.morgan Actually you can disable sending PDF documents to network clients. If you disable it, only the lyrics are sent. I guess that would result in exactly what you want.

When you I add .pdf charts to Stage Traxx 3 via my MacBook onto my iPad and I see the .pdf charts greyed out, how can I import them into ST3 songs on my iPad? Everytime I click on the greyed out pdf it says it has been added to ST#.Thanks.

If you import through song details -> pdf file it should not be greyed out. Maybe create a support email in Settings > Create support Email and attach a short video.

I LOVE THIS APP! YOU ARE A GENIUS PETER!!! I have used a few different ones and this is the best app ever BUT I do not have an option for importing PDFs on my I pad. I can see the option clearly on my I phone but nothing on my I pad. Is my I pad too old? I tried updating it. It is an i pad 5th generation ipad updated to OS version 16.1.1 Help.... Thank you

Your iPad is not too old. Check the AppStore for any updates of Stage Traxx you might have missed. The current version is 3.6.4.

@@stagetraxx I'm thinking Linda might mean - how do I get my PDF files (created on another computer) on to my iPad? Perhaps you could email them to yourself from the other computer, open the email on your iPad and then save the PDF to "Files"? Is there an easier way?

@@dougcampbellmusic2162 If your computer is a Mac the easiest option is to Airdrop the files to you iPad. Or use a file hoster like iCloud (recommended) or Dropbox or Google Drive to sync your files to the iPad. Even a USB stick might work.

How do I import only a pdf? without associate to a mp3 file,some songs I play don´t have playalong music,they are only vocal and guitar.

Create a lyrics only song and load the pdf into that song.
