You MOTHER EFFER I used to watch your fashion videos in middle school 2015 and could not for the life of me find your videos later on. Now I’m a plant guy and found your videos again. Funny how the world works.
Paul Pondtu!
You cleaned the pond up beautifully. Love the new fish.

Thank you so much for the support!!
Them goldfish was diggin' their new home. Looked like that one hit the pond water looked at the camera and said "WOW"
Maybe you should install some wire fencing around the tiny pond so the dogs can't get to it. I really would love to see the pond flourish without being disturbed by the dogs.
Damn that's a great upgrade! So clear water, and all the plants are a great addition! Earth is my planet

Thanks, excited to see how it continues to evolve.
Such a cool process to see. Crazy to see how clear the water got within 9 days!

It was pretty much that clear on the 9th day!
I love the way you change your pond .❤
Wish you were in Cali and was my fam I want to do so many outsode projects to my house I love your projects
Awesome! Working on re-doing my pond as well. Just wanted to clean it a bit and what do you know…. Nothing like making a day project last a few weekends 😅
In nature ponds have dragonflies. Would be wild if your pond support dragonfly nymphs
Man, I watched the build video and this one. FANTASTIC work! That water turned CLEAR, too! Can't wait to see more!
I put goldfish in my pond. They eat the skeeters and are cold hardy. Being zone 6, I used water lily for my plant along with water lettuce and water hyacinth. I also got a water buttercup and another plant that isn’t cold hardy. I needed something to shade the water. For pond sludge, there is a natural barley you can sprinkle in your pond to eat up the dead algae the fish don’t get to.
"That's why I need some fish, to make sure there's no swinger parties, in my back yard" 😂🤣🤣🤣🤣 Edit* I get all the water out of my pond to clean it, with the pump. I keep it running and take the tube and let the water run out on the plants. That way your not breaking your back. Work smarter. Not harder. Lol! (New subscriber- I'm stalking all your videos 😂) I'm a plant junkie. My yard is insane. Pretty sure the neighbors are worried, but it catches eyes and gets tons of praise! 😊
Omg you’re like the guy version of me lol. Don’t worry about the shubunkins - they’re so small while they grow and you have plenty of time to make the bigger pond for them later down the road. Can’t wait to see more of your diy projects!
add some bottom lights so you can appreciate them at night too
you're really enjoyable to listen to
Me and my wife discovered your videos last week and have watched so many now! Love the content man. You make doing this stuff so accessible and your vids are super entertaining! We laugh at the way you twist words all the time. Keep it up dude! Had to come here for the algorithm for ya. Subbed!
I’m loving all the consistent posts on all your channels. ☀️
I hope to see a bigger pond soon Paul! 🤜🏼🤛🏼💙✨☕

Wow! I can't believe how much the water cleared up! Well done Paul! I've had two big ponds were I lived before and I must say that Shubunkin goldfish are one of my favourite fish spieces for ponds ❤ /Martina

They look so cool!! I can't wait to add a larger pond in the future.
Beautiful pond brother! Medakas (Japanese Rice Fish) would be good to consider fir your future pond builds.
Love the pond updates!! Paul, maybe you could add lily pads? They provide shelter and and food for the fish! :)

I had some in there but my dog will randomly hop in the pond and thrashed them. I'll put some in my front yard ponds.
Love this video
Good job, though, and a good practice for creating a pond. Though I recall you saying in your last vid that you didn’t want a water feature that was too big in case you have little ones eventually running around. I’m from Nova Scotia and our water feature ponds freeze over, but if the pond is deep enough the Koi fish stay alive under the layer of ice. I don’t know how, but they do. Obviously they must be hardy enough to survive low water temps. They have fish in the arctic after all.
Ayyyy looks good! Btw I have a patio pond a little smaller than yours with a little less plants. I’ve had two goldfish in it for a year and have never fed them once! They completely sustain themselves and forage constantly. Also they only grew about 3-4 inches, I believe because their hormones build up in the water and keep them from outgrowing their environment. You’ll probably never have to remove them man, you good! I’m excited to see how it goes. Thanks for the update! Erth is mah plahnet ✊

What?! That's awesome! The may be growing slower because they're not being fed as regularly. I'm working on a patio pond right now!

The hormone thing is a myth. Most goldfish grow about an inch per year on average, so it sounds like they're actually growing quickly haha
14:34 nice! cool little pond.👍🏾
Hell yeah brother
Awesome fun videos! Quick question for ya, how often have you needed to change the filter on the pump?
Love rosy reds!
Hmm you need to build a bigger pond now Paul and I can’t wait to see it
You have to be quite a beginner to put store water in pond, but as long as fishes don't show any illness they will thrive nice
Goodnight job. So glad you didn't add a million common goldfish like I feared. New to your channel. Good luck with it.

I jumped the gun on my comment. My 3 shubunkin are over 5" after 1 year in my pond which is about 500 gallons. I'm sure you have a future plan for them though.
Beautiful 😍! 🐟🎏🐠
Love the pond. Where do you get the little filter pad at?
Very nice job
Great job
What a neat pond great job
Just found your channel ❤you did an awesome job on the pond it looks absolutely beautiful ❤ can't wait to see more builds!!
Just subscribed, great pond build
regarding the leaves... would it make sense to line the pond with a net and just lift the net out periodically to get the leaves out?
How is your pond today? How do you clean up those basic soils? or just leave it alone forever?
Goldfish are substrate sifters, all that topsoil in the bottom is going to get pulled up into your water column.

It’ll have to dig through a solid layer of gravel and then 2 inches of sand. If it becomes an issue I’ll just move em
Great video… I’m going to do mine over today. I had problems with water clarity and this video is genius. One question though, after the you put the top soil and the sand, before you put the rocks in you added something else. What was it?
Maybe get the dogs a little pool of their own
Im new to this channel and to US. Nice video. Do we need permission from any authorities to build a pond like this?

Depends on where you are Some places have a depth that need fencing so check
what size pump are u useing ?
How often do you have to add water to the pond?
Weren't in there some good larvae or similar when you cleaned it?

...and, do you know if the little fishes eat frog's eggs? 😊
Too bad there aren't any dragonflies around to get the mosquitos too.
CutePaul, y not put a specific Electric Green DANIOS Fish there? ❤💚

@@paulplantu oh it freezes there? Okay just maintain that fish u got. And 😘.
Inspired by Father Fish?
I’m afraid because we have raccoons who would tear it up to get to the fish. My pitty is afraid of the family of raccoons from the woods (on the property between ours and the one next door). They that bad.
Maybe you should keep the pond for frogs and not fish
When you cleaned the leaves out that's why your fish died
You've now made the pond too shallow, and I'm worried your fish will cook.
That's a pond?

I wouldn’t call what you have, a “pond”. It’s more of a “puddle”. A beautiful. puddle, but still, a puddle.
