Adding and subtracting the cube root of three radical expressions
👉 Learn how to add or subtract radicals. A radical is a number or an expression under the root symbol. Radicals can only be added or subtracted if the numbers or expressions under the roots are the same for all terms. To add or subtract radicals, we reduce/simplify the radicals and then add/subtract the coefficients and retain the root part.

help, what relationship exists between the eths roots and the logarithms? 👀
Is there one without the cube of 3?
I hope this gets answered but can you simplify the 9 to a 3 in the answer for the problem?

Why can’t you combine the 12 and 4? Can;t you just simplify underneath the radical since the roots are equivalent? Or does the entire variable have to be equal? (Btw i have my final tmrw so any input helps :):) ).thanks!

think about it, sqrt(4) + sqrt(4) does it equal sqrt(8)? no when you simplify it you see that it doesnt 2+2 does not equal sqrt(8)
