"Addiction Took Over My Entire Life" True Stories of Addiction

Mike had tried rehab and had spent much of his life in alcoholics anonymous. With nowhere else to run, he found sobriety through Jesus Christ.
Mike’s addiction started out with magazines of women that he found in his dad’s garage at age 12. Although his addiction and addictive behaviors toward women began early on, Mike didn’t try cocaine until he turned 22.
It wasn’t until Mike was 26 that he was arrested for the first time. The next year, at 27, Mike sought out to join a junior college football team in Palm Springs, California.
Amidst the chaos of his meth and cocaine drug use, Mike went to a Calvary Church. At the church, he sat himself down in the first row-directly in front of the pastor.
Throughout the service, Mike cried and was unable to stop. After the service was over, the pastor approached Mike and asked him what was going on.
The only words that Mike could manage to speak were, “I’m reaping the harvest of a sinful life.”

@Chris Smith Fair enough. The video did nothing to clarify this - just finding a dirty magazine and getting gratification from it as an adolescent is quite normal and hardly 'porn addiction'. Some context or better editing could be used next time.

@@ottomankebabmapper4623 What relevance does that have? You can't put pornography and heroin in the same bracket. That's the point I was trying to make, and the thing I found irritating about the throwaway mention of the porno magazine at the start of this video - I think it's unfair to crucify a (surprisingly) very concious and responsible industry like the adult industry and suggest that viewing adult material is potentially a gateway to abusing some horrific hard drugs like meth and heroin.

Love the sobriety and connection to your own divinity, but - using AA to shove religion down the throats of vulnerable people is not okay. Not everyone is Christian in the world and that's okay. It's great that Jesus has set YOU free, but there's no one size fits all for recovery. Please try and cultivate more tolerance for people who are different than you.
