Add this HIDDEN GEM to your list of PLACES TO VISIT in ITALY! LIVING IN ITALY

Hi guys,
Welcome back to the channel.
I am sooo happy to show you Termoli, Molise. This is the biggest seaside city in Molise.
It is small enough that we felt very comfortable in right away, and big enough that we can get everything we need.
It has a train station, which is great, and the beaches are gorgeous. You can choose from paying for a chair and umbrella on a private beach or go to the public beaches which are equally beautiful!
Termoli has plenty of shops, supermarkets and restaurants. During the summer months it is buzzling with life, and during the colder months, the locals still enjoy their passeggiata, unlike other tourist places that may feel like ghost towns during the lower tourist seasons.
There are many towns at a short driving distance from Termoli, so if you prefer to live in a smaller town, while having the convenience of having the beach in your backyard, be sure to check out the surroundings.
Anywho, WE LOVE TERMOLI, and we feel that it has a lot more to offer than we initially anticipated.
I hope you enjoy this video.

Hi Pete, it can get busy but not hectic like other places. It still has that family -orientated vibe even in the summer. Also prices of food and beverages are very low considering it is attractive to tourists. For example in our town, se pay €1.50 for a beer and in Termoli €3 with good appetisers. There is a place in the centre of town that has a special of coffee (anche cappuccino) and a pastry for €1.50. We can't resist 🤗☀️

Hi Nancy, I'm glad you enjoyed the video. If you go to Termoli in summer for a few days, perhaps try to get accommodation on the towns nearby on the hills. We noticed that many people come to the towns on the hills for the nightly breezes to avoid the night humidity in Termoli. In saying that, we didn't think the humidity was too bad. Lethal because we came from Brisbane?

When that darling cat pounced at Aden I laughed out loud! 😂They are so much fun to watch. Termoli is a lovely place to visit and you had a sunny day without wind. It’s always shocking to see all the restored homes and then a ruin in the middle! It certainly shows a “before” and “after” so people can see what can be done to restore an old house. Thank you for taking us on the journey. It’s nice that both of you enjoy doing this together.

Question, my wife wants to get an Italian passport, in order to do that she needs to be a CITIZEN first.... SHE won't be able to apply unless she gets the language and comprehend B1 certificate..... did you have to do that? MY TWO boys had NO ISSUES getting the Italian passport without the B1 certificate.

Hi Glanni. Neither of us has citizenship yet. We are trying to get my husband's citizenship by descent, so thinking about the language side of things is not something we are concerned about yet. I expect I would have to take the test if my husband is given citizenship. I studied Italian at uni and still remember quite a bit.

Hi Angel. We tether from our phones when we use the laptops and that works well for us. Have a look at TIM, Iliad, Wind3 and Vodafone. Iliad has worked well for us here in Molise but it was pretty bad for us in Abbateggio, Abruzzo. Iliad has a mapa de cobertura where you can see the type of network and speed. I have seen the 5g sign popping up just going the hill from our town. PS. You will need a Códice Fiscale to get any SIM, even a pre-paid. If you want an internet plan at home, most of them require an Italian Identity Card as well. That's why we use our Iliad pre-paid and tether as at the beginning we didn't have an Italian ID. Hope this helps 👍

  • @rossinniandco

    Жыл бұрын

Hi Maria Eugenia. I was talking about your question with my husband and in all honesty, we can't think of any areas in Termoli where we haven't felt safe. Even what we call the Industrial area where car dealers and mechanics are is well organised so it doesn't feel dodgy. The centre of town and the historical centre have a relaxed vibe so again, we didn't feel uneasy there. At the beach there are places where you can get an umbrella for summer and it comes with a locker, so stuff is secured there. We found out that 1 umbrella comes with 2 lounge chairs and go from €17 to €19 a day or cheaper if you buy a monthly/seasonal pass. I would just keep an eye out around the train station as I do with all train stations everywhere, including Australia.

Hi. In the bigger cities like Rome yes, but in the smaller ones less likely so. I don't really see it advertised like we do in Cafes in Australia. Not sure what SIM you're thinking of buying, but there is a company called Iliad and it's pretty good. You can buy a Sim card on the spot at their kiosks and you don't need a Codice Fiscale, only your passport. There is a pre paid plan for about €10 that gives you 150G of data. It also includes free calls in Italy, and you can cancel at any time. They have also a data only plan for about €15 that gives you 300G. Here is a link of their locations 👇 puntivendita.iliad.it/map/
