Glad I found this I did two hacksaw cuts (where pot stand has the lock and unlock symbols) and bent it down Works a treat

Just bought one at the weekend and took it out on a summit camp in the Scottish Highlands. Amazing stove and boils water in no time. I'd been thinking of getting the Jetboil pot stand. Thank you so much mate for the heads up on this little issue. All the best.

Hi Dan…bought the Heiro stove based on you and Paul Messners reviews back in April. Paul mentioned this modification in his review, bought the Jetboil attachment, attacked my cordless drill and dremel…..worked a treat. As you mentioned you have to make the slot big enough to stop the piezo igniter tracking / arcing, bit of patience is all it takes. On my stove I had close the gap between the tip of the igniter and the burner head, it seem a weak spark. Thanks to your initial review in April I now have cracking cooking set up. I’ve got the full jetboil flash and pot holder so isn’t an issue but this is a perfect hack for those who use the oex burner. jet boil will be raging with you now Dan 😂👍🏼🔥

The Fire Maple Fixed Star cook systems pot stand fits the Heiro. No mods required. Available on Amazon for 13 quid. Won't fit into the pot for carrying tho.

Hi mate, Haven't watched your channel since last summer but am back looking for something to go with my jetboil and a boundless voyage titanium bush box (which I love) Definitely buying a leather gloves for the bush box . Anyhow looking for a suitable pan to fry some burgers. Just watched your video cooking in the oex pan. honestly think youve grown as a content creator and been a joy to visit your channel again. I was a Trangia and Pocket Rocket user until i saw your fix on the Jetboil support for the Oex. I shot out to Go Outdoors and and sis exactly what you have done. I think the Trangia and Pocket will now become obsolete. Thanks fòr the tip 👍

Found a fire maple pot support when I looked for the jet boil looks like it’s already sized for the stove

Really good idea but you could just buy the oex tacana stove set only down side being its a little bigger and it's cheaper than that one

£11.99 😮. I suspect OEX never intended this small stove to be used for anything other than boiling water for a hot drink or rehydrating bag meals. Your mod is predicated on using the piezo igniter. Instead of goimg to all that trouble why dont you use a lighter or your ferro rod to ignite the gas? The self igniters are the weakest part of these stoves. Chances are it will stop working. Also a huge gap between the burner and pan. Definitely requires a windshield.
