Same to you my friend! At first I was very upset with the Adapt Brutale, venting my frustration to mainly Chris but also Matthew. But they kindly helped me realize that...well... I was going about it all wrong. I also learned a TON from the Adapt master class vids and from Peter with Adapt.
Now I am very very very happy to say that these Brutale Blades are the most:
comfortable
responsive
Fastest sliding aggressive blades I have ever skated.
Top fav blade along with the THEM 909. And I wont put just any old skate in that category. I will make a video soon going more in depth about my experience. Thank you everyone for your help!

My Brutales are shipping this week and in the last 8 weeks I've been watching and reading everything I could find about these skates. This was the perfect ending to my waiting time. Cheers!

You wonder what all the hype is about til you try adapts, then you understand when you do and probably won't want any other skate! You gunna try the symetrics flat? How do they skate anti considering they are basically a flat frame?

I love them!!!!! I haven't tried flat yet on them. I love the feel of flat but the extra work and money wasn't worth it for me. RollOver TheHill rode em flat and said it was good accept the groove is kinda small bit that's for bite protection. I am am anti-rocker guy.

I ride them flat with 60mm 88a win wheels and like them a lot. If you ride flat, this is one of the better frames. Groove is small and yes that definitely helps with wheel bite. I'm not as good as this dude but i hardly get wheel bite on ledges if you position yourself right for the grind. I'd recommend them for flat. I also have the oysi medium which are great too, but symetrics are lighter, slide great and shorter.

I was the same hyped when I got my pair. The problem was I had a lot of pressure points, had to heatmold them 4 times to get rid of them (they were really painfull after cruising/sessioning city for the whole day) and they were like half way gone only ... anyway.... i decided that I'll just skate them for a little longer and see what happens next. Bumy whole hype about them was literally gone with the first big gap, no forward flex just damaged my ankles. Couldn't walk properly for 3 weeks. Waiting for CJ2's now.

Hmmm I am not having the same experience. The forward flex is different that's for sure but I could skate all day in these and not have issues. I haven't done any big gaps or drops with them yet but there are ways to make the forward flex a little more comfortable for landings. They do have a hard stop on the forward flex at a certain point.

Think you needed to loosen the laces around the top more, there's ton's of forward flex when you adjust the lacing

  • @jadrollervlog

@@NorthernGrim this is true accept then it's too loose. Its like all or nothing as far as the flex. They grind well it's just the flex is very tricky to get used to.

Lacing does play a big role in how this boot skates. But the flex is never going to be the same as a traditional plastic shell boot with a pivoting cuff. My 909 and this boot are very different as far as Flex.

Can you talk about how the flex is different and what you figured out to adapt to the flex? Are these diolene?

  • @jadrollervlog

    @jadrollervlog

Yes Diolene. In short. I changed the lacing and it changes the flex. I'll be making a video about it or you can DM me on IG. @Jadrollervlog it's too long to talk about here.

@@jadrollervlog +1 on the information about the flex. you'd be the first channel i'd have info on on the diolene! it would be great if you have the carbons in the same size to compare the two since you'd be able to tell the roll difference.

So nice! I wonder how long that leather is going to hold up though? I hug my skates too 😘😎

I've had mine since July and since it's been only a year since I picked up blades again i fall a lot. 😭 But the leather holds up really well and hasn't cut through in the boot at all. I'm impressed. The thing for me that takes the most abuse is the cuff protector and strap which are starting to get shredded, and the toe but the toe still looks great, even after multiple direct concrete scrapes. 👍
