Adam Savage's One Day Builds: LEGO Blade Runner Spinner Model!
Ғылым және технология
Adam heads over to the Tested studio to find enough space for a 2000-piece custom LEGO build of the Spinner car from Blade Runner! This model comes courtesy of BrickVault, who put together detailed instructions and parts lists for massive MOCs inspired by our favorite movies, games, and fandoms. Follow along as Adam puts this kit together and shows off the clever ways that fan designers have replicated this iconic vehicle.

Thank you so much for selecting one of my models! Proud and honored you liked it! And yes you were right the first time: Duperron... 😉

Absolutely fantastic design! How do you even begin to design something as detailed as the spinner? As a kid you must have made the greatest Lego builds 😢

** SUGGESTION ** You need an analog clock near the build site for the time lapse! -- I love the LEGO builds! So much fun to watch!
OMG, the classic chaos building style. It's my favorite way. Knolling makes it seem like actual work.

OOOOHHHH! Seeing Adam Savage built unique Lego models is a dream come true!! And props to the designer! Such incredible details! I legitimately love it!
Love it when Adam Geeks Out.
My wife is addicted to Lego and BrickVault!!! I told her that i am glad this is a good addiction!!!
My two favorite fantasy vehicles. The spinner and the motorcycle from Akira.
From knolling to the build, watching this amazes me. Keep on Adam, you are the coolest, most powerful nerd the kids and fellow 44 yr old nerds can look up to. Thank you for your mental awareness and ease of thought.
Some say, the 'time lapse' isn't sped up at all, but is in fact Adam's functional speed when he's hyped as heck for a model kit... :P
15:50 "that's a nice looking rear-end!" -Adam Savage, 2021
At the start of the video, you liked the design of the instruction book. Well I think it is really not great, having to invert it every time you change the page.
I can sit forever and watch Adam build anything. But ... there was one line here which sums up his entire portfolio of work. "Did I build this thing upside down....?"
“But the most amazing thing to me is, I get paid, for doin’ this!” - Steve Martin
I would love to see Adam scratch build the spinner using styrene and bits. That would be an epic build.
I love the armour in the background
OMG Adams for all that is holy in the world of building models please stop putting your projects on the edge of the table!!!!
Just love Adam Savage. Thank you Adam, an absolute pleasure to watch.
Watching Lego Masters on Australian TV at the moment, now more Lego from Adam. Can never get enough!
David Attenborough impression and Glaswegian accents in the same ODB, amazing.

26:40 Amazing impression of David Attenborough for the win!
Great build. I appreciate the little bit of slight of hand Adam. Nicely done.
I have a feeling Adam has just as much getting ready to build a Lego set as he does actually building the Lego set. His instructions are bound.
37:15 David Attenborough impression is spot on :)
lol i love when you slip into your david attenbourouh voice. makes me miss you observing the hynemin
@5:55 “as if we hadn’t wasted our childhood making Star Wars sets”... okay Adam, say that again, but slowly.
I love it when Adam gets beyond infinity excited about cool Lego building techniques
I love how excited you get when building these awesome Lego sculptures! Thanks for sharing with us!
Adam and the Blade Runner is a perfect combination of joy to me :D
So fun to see Adam so passionate about something i've loved since I was a child.
Can anybody be more excited than Adam. It must be a Blade Runner item. Great job !
Such a joy to watch Adam get excited building this.
I love it when he does some slight of hand when showing us something just to mess with us a little.
this is going to sound very silly but it made my day seeing you wear that arm brace. I draw a lot and struggle with arm pains and cramps despite taking a lot of preventive measures. it's nice to see that you go through it too xD
I LOVE that YOU LOVE everything Blade Runner related.
When will we see the Officer K Blade Runner coat? I've been curious for weeks!
Laser cutter sounds like an old school dot matrix printer.
Wooooo lego builds!
I would love to see this one again when you put lights in it. So cool.
please Brickvault, make this a kit. David Duperron you would be a millionaire over night, there are bladerunner fans that have been waiting for this since it was first seen on Syd Meads desk many years ago, it is one of the most talked about non lego kits. please

Gary you can already get the instructions from Brickvault and it’s not so complicated to get the parts! 😉
That was such fun, thanks for sharing your joy🙂🐿
Wow, that was a sweet build!
I'd love a build of 2049 spinner. Better yet a proper styrene kit of it!
Yay! Adam is building a Spinner! 😎
A tip for building these brickvault models that has saved me is. . . use Clear Solo Cups to store pieces in. . you can semi sort half knowl the bags into cups.
Ty for this
That's amazing
@25:05 Props for slipping in that lowkey french drop.
I really enjoy watching your videos and I am the same way when it comes to cool vehicles and toys geeking out at levels of detail.
Very Cool !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am currently building this with my daughter (7yr). Great build
Ty for the info about maker fair, never heard of it before.
My compliments to whomever does the music selection to go with the time lapse sequences. Though the music choices might not always be my "cup of tea," it always goes well with the video.
Awesome. I have the Papaglop Razor Crest, the French have designed some very beautiful MOC sets. His modular style of engineering is brilliant, such a beautiful kit just like this Spinner.
Nice. This puts me to in a mood to put on my Rift and fire up Aircar and Blade Runner 9732.
Awesome build that looks amazing
Amazing, huge Blade Runner fan here !! Thanks !!
This is so cool
The first true one day build!
Happy to see Adam has stopped wasting time with knolling of pre organized legos.
allways great to see you build lego....
Haven’t heard someone say, “That’s a nice lookin’ rear end” since before COVID times ;)... (because I haven’t left the house in over a year).
Adam, were you playing with a Van de Graaf generator before this video ? lol
i get the feeling that a lot of this is bilaterally symmetrical !
Great David Attenborough. He has a new show coming up.
Your hair starts looking better with every video!
That is an interesting choice for the instructions. You could slide a dowel in there to hang it up by the rings and it would always be right-side up... put that on a swivel and you're set.
it's nice that my constant in life is Adam Savage
super i love adam savage channel and mythbusters
Build idea: Have you ever build a sim-racing rig? Why not make a functional rig with a dashboard in BladeRunner style? IKR
Attenborough impersonation on point lol
And this is how adam gets converted into a full time lego builder 😂 Also love to see angus maclane’s -of pixar- lego ideas walle set in the background. Would be awesome to see you guys make a lego video together
Was that a Sir Richard Attenborough impression? Nice!
As a child of the 70s Lego bricks were quite common. However, I never owned a set myself but it seemed like every kid I knew had them. The thing is I never saw what the packaging looked like or what the complete set looked like. It was always just a jumble of random bricks in someone's bedroom that we would play with. We never tried to build anything specific or were even aware that each kit was supposed to create a specific building or something. We would just snap them together into whatever we could think of. I used to get a kick out building a square version of the starship Enterprise.
That “secondary movement” of Adam’s hair just adds to his excitement. Ha

Still look great Adam still watch the mythbuster. You still looking good
18:34 a lego welding mask kit would be cool, not a functional one of course but like that classic welding mask made of lego would be a cool kit
Sometimes ya gotta knoll when to fold 'em!
I gasped when he said he would glue some parts
Haha love the music in this.
I will always know those vehicles from the inside band photos on the Iron Maiden somewhere in time album.👍
Shout out to Syd Mead, the artist who designed the Spinner (who sadly died in 2019), and Gene Winfield, the Custom Car/hot rodding legend who built the Spinners for the original, 1982 movie. Winfield is still painting cars (what originally made his name) and chopping Mercury's, on his ranch in Mojave. Winfield also built the Shuttlecraft, for the original Star Trek series, as well historic show cars/Customs like the 'Jade Idol', 'Stripstar' and 'Reactor' ('Reactor' also featured in Star Trek TOS, Bewitched, and the 60s Batman series).
Nice 👏😊
I was close to buying BrickVault's Sandcrawler kit today. Then i remembered the artist who worked on A New Hope sells model kits of Sandcrawlers. Hmm.....I guess I'll choose both, maybe?
@ZiddersRooFurry
3 жыл бұрын
Both!
Yes, we can figure out what the build is by looking at the parts - and the title of the video of course
Have you considered acquiring and assembling the Ultimate collectors edition LEGO star destroyer?
Adam: I LOVE KNOLLING SO MUCH, I DO IT ALL THE TIME....no seriously, knolling is the greatest thing ever, especially with Lego. it just makes everything so much more efficient, and truly builds are faster if you knoll first. me: skepticals....outside of the fact i didn't hear about knolling till Adam said it, it seems a world of inefficient just to de-clutter. Adam: 2000 piece....yea, i'm not gonna knoll. takes too much time.
Those “wing pieces are from a couple sets but most notably in my opinion, they’re in the technic Bugatti set! There’s loads of them in black and bright blue!
I should go back and watch the other LEGO spinner you built, almost exactly a year ago.
You should def do The 1958 plymouth fury from Christine
Please take a look at PV-Productions, they do Great Ball Contraptions, those crazy Rube Goldberg type ball machines, but based on using only bricks form a single Lego kit! It adds amazing value to a lego kit, and makes costom lego models available without having to custom order parts.
I wonder if you've considered more drawer style work tops under your workbenches, like the one you built for your new 3D printer, for light duty applications such as this.
You have done a couple scratch built models episodes. But I am wanting to take on building scratch built version of the class ships for the MMO Star Wars: The Old Republic and would like to see a few more scratch build episodes
