Adam Savage Cosplays as Doctor Strange!

Ғылым және технология

Adam welcomes a new costume into his collection, made by the talented costumer Chad Evett. Chad--costume designer, consulting storyteller, and "Internationally Ignored Cosplayer"--was also the creator of Adam's gorgeous King George cosplay, and brought his Doctor Strange costume to the cave for a test fitting. Adam geeks out over the layered complexity of this creation, down to the unique way Chad has designed the cloak to fit perfectly. Stay tuned this coming year when Adam takes this costume to wear at a convention!

There is something special about seeing a lifetime maker reviewing a passionate maker's work. To have each challenging and high detail item recognized "to be seen" was hugely gratifying for all concerned. Getting to that level of detail I could see him bracing himself for favorite bits not being recognized. I think the recognition of the work done provided enough fuel for 5 more cloaks alone (despite the insane amount of work that entails). Witnessing this "geeking out" is a level of enthusiasm that makes my day.

Adam is doing an Incognito when the fight sequence falls into the comicon and a bad guy mistakes Adam for the actual hero he is cosplaying. Bad guy looks around and sees he is surrounded by heroes converging on him having no idea he is a real bad guy and takes off to fight another day.

New demerit badge idea, super gluing your project to a table. Thankfully for me, it was small and easily replicated, so when I had to practically chisel the thing off, destroying it in the process, it wasn't a big loss. Having to resolder wires in a VERY small space because there's no way to take things apart. Yep, built some lights into a backpack, the battery pack was on the inside and one of the wires broke off, I had to solder the wires back in place at the bottom of the backpack (it has a hard shell). So, trying to use the soldering iron in the confined space, while trying to keep the backpack open, holding wires and solder, while also trying not to burn me or set other things on fire/melting them.
