Gosh this made me remember how long y’all worked on this. So much hard work and literal sweat and tears. I’m grateful I was able to make my contributions!

Stunning work especially hand stitching and hand stamping. You give clear instructions unlike any I’ve heard so far and your cape far exceeds the original in beauty.

Wow - amazing work. You clearly have a skill level I hope to achieve one day. I made that pattern a couple of years back (including the cloak - and attempted to just add detail with different ribbons and lace (on the back) but didn't make the shoulder piece or get anywhere near the screen accurate detail that you achieved. KUODS. I wore mine to the "Time Traveler's Weekend" at the New York Renaissance Faire and people were very receptive but, seeing yours, I'm like - woah - perfection can be achieved! "Someday!" Now I'm using the same pattern to make the "What If" Doctor Strange costume. Sort of "winging it" on the waist wrap and associated belts/ accessories. Again - "boy on a budget" here (and with beginner level sewing skills) but I think it will end up being cool enough for this year's NYCC. I have to check out that site you reference frequently - for screen accurate info. All I'm going off of is a zillion screenshots from the animated series and the action figure "glamour shots" from EE. Thanks for the amazing videos - can't wait to follow your work! Super inspiring.

Omg man you should work for the studio! this is far beyond just making replica costumes, the level of patience and skill you have is super professional. I'm serious. BTW I wanna be Ian's friend. I need a friend who come watch movies with me and makes props that show up for 2 seconds. Just awesome.

Can I say something kind of crazy? I feel like I met you guys before. Now, this might just be me mistaking you guys and this is a crazy coincidence, but I went to Universal in Orlando in the fall of 2018. I was around 11 at the time and had read and loved the Harry Potter books. Being in Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade made me ecstatic, and I had gotten to do the Ollivanders wand ceremony and gotten my own wand. Me and my dad had just arrived in Hogsmeade, when a guy who I'm pretty sure was Micheal walked up to me and told me he was a Ravenclaw too (I was wearing a Ravenclaw shirt). We were waiting for the Goblet of Fire show thing to start, and I striked up a conversation with you guys. I distinctly remember talking about wands and how you guys were a Ravenclaw and a Hufflepuff. You also showed me a Newt Scamander custom wand either you guys had made or you'd bought from someone, couldn't remember. I'm pretty sure I also gushed about Luna Lovegood 😂 Years later I too acquired a fascination with wands and came across you guys' wand collection videos. When I saw that you guys were a Ravenclaw and a Hufflepuff I was reminded of the couple I'd met in the Wizarding World, but brushed it off. But now that I have my own channel I thought I'd ask you guys about it and see if it actually was you guys I met that day. If it wasn't you guys at all and I'm just going crazy, then completely ignore this comment. But if it is you guys...then thanks, because honestly that brief meeting with you was just as cool and magical as the rest of my day in the wizarding world :D (also again I'm sorry if I sound like a creep or something, I was just really excited that maybe I found the people I'd met three years ago. whoever i met, they probably forgot me anyways.)

Can you do a video showing the hanging mechanisms of the cloak a little closer? And how do you get the cloak to sit and not dragging the tunic up?

Amazing job! I came across your video as I am contemplating taking on this cloak. I have the Spoonflower fabric in my cart already, and had been wondering if cotton or satin would be better, so thank you. Also you asked if there was a better term for "braining", I have been searching under "soutache" to find fabrics done in this particular technique. Looks like I will have to do it by hand as well. Mine will probably be more burgundy.
