He probably gets along with everyone. But in case of Drew I think it's a bit more special. Since as they said, both have done 3 films together. One for each decade since the 90s.

@@gammarazor7798 Drew Barrymore's memoir, Wildflower, talks about the first time they met after she was basically beg, borrow, steal a contact to talk to Sandler but there was this radio interview where she puts down all the rumours they were sleeping with other because it was like above that - Sandler treated her like a lady and she responded by seeing him as a friend but also an inspiriation and then bought it to the films. That's the power of inner beauty and the best thing about when a man and woman fall in love (not lust and you don't need to have sex to be in love): two opposites making magic happen by improving each other.

Hannah Larmond Because despite the interview being obviously rehearsed and staged (That's not a criticism, it's just how a show like this works.) At the end, a truly sweet, compassionate, and loving surprise came out. Drew, who despite her past, is a really sweet person who has a heart of gold. She was then given a hugely sweet and emotional gift that had to have reminded her of a beautiful moment from a wonderful film. Just, in a sense, like we were as on lookers. Her reaction is one of pure elation. She was shocked, awed, and obviously flattered by that song. When we as people, with hearts, see that we have no choice but to have this empathy of happiness that makes us tingly. I know explanation can sometimes be detrimental to emotion but in this case, understanding it only seems to make it more endearing. In my opinion anyway.

I'm gonna cry 😭 It's obvious that they've both been a very stable and loving force for each other. Their movies together are some of my favorites.

It's no doubt that the song "grow old with you" mean something to them. It was a very emotional moment for both Adam and Drew. You can hear Adam's voice at the end when he says "Drewy" and the quick "thank you" right after. Drew wanted to break down but she hold it. There's no doubt they do love each other, but only they know why they aren't together.

It seems they practiced the song, especially she went "eeeee" in the end and thought he would too but he and fallon surprised her with the end of "Grow old with you" I really hope they bring out Wedding Singer 2.

I love the fact that we all know that lil kiss was out of pure love, not romantic or sexual or passional or anything like that. That little kiss is love in it's purest form and we all accepted it and won't make a big deal of it because both of them are married and all of that. This is beautiful.

Can’t say how many times I’ve rewatched movies starring these two. And each movie feels like their own story!

I think in the type of industry that they are in, it is understandable the kind of relationships they will have with their coworkers. There really seemed to be more to it than just a recall of a long friendship; it's like Sandler wanted to surprise Drew, knowing that single line would be so special to her. It's like they know the ship has long sailed on any opportunity for them beyond friendship. It's both beautiful and poignant at the same time.

She basically saved her life. Her mom put her in mental hospital and she was in a bad place but he was there for her when no one else was. I'd say they're soul mates. Not marriage but they're definitely incredibly close. Glad she had him to be there to help her and be a good friend when she needed it.

I love how Adam just looks like he was picked up from the side of the road before the show

At the next segment in that episode, Jimmy said that the last 2 lines from Adam wasn't in the rehearsal, they did that without her knowing about it so it was a genuine reaction from her + being pregnant gets the emotions going even more. They make a great team.

I can't believe it, but I cried when he started to sing 'wanna grow old with you' from wedding singer, I watch his movies since i'm little so it really got me...these two are really great together.

Beautiful 🥲 my eyes got watery when Drew put her hands on her face instantly when hearing Adam sing I could be the man who grows old with you😭

You can tell they really do care about each other. Great Hollywood friendship (rare) to come by.

I teared up when he said every ten years you'll always have me.

When he broke out into the Wedding Singer bit my heart stopped. Such an emotional movie moment for me.

Imagine a movie in their 60s, where they both end up divorced and single, finding their way back to each other after spending their lives with the wrong one.

There was a movie exactly like that back in the 70s called Same Time Next Year. A man and a woman who have known each other since they were young spend one weekend a year together every year for basically their entire lives and end up together finally when they are old. I've always thought it would be the perfect film for Adam and Drew to remake.

I had this relationship with my bestfriend. He used to be my bully. We have families now. He has three kids and in my wedding he cried like a brother, a lover, a proud father and my love for him is different. But it never feels right to be with him. He cried when he had his speech at the wedding and said, *When I picked on girls I had two options: bully them or hit on them. But when I met you I added another option which I carried until I got married. Eighth grade I know have an option what to do with girls, Bully her, hit on her or Respect her.*
