I always found Skins to be such an alienating watch, and this skit expresses that feeling perfectly. I'd have watched pens.

Pens is pretty much describing how childrens dramas were in the 80's. They were quite good. Johhny Briggs was a bit naughty but he always learnt his lesson.

The clip is far worse than you can imagine. Joe didn't mention the sparks coming off the kid's skateboard at every opportunity, the "Back to the Future" style chase, the stereotyped and unsympathetic principal characters (A nerd, a lad and a hunk plus a sexy girl! ? Woo hoo! Hi jinx!) and the all-pervading air of desperation for comedy or cheap shocks that renders "Skins" a weird kind of anti-drama.

The first series was actually really good, with Harry Enfield on the team and in the show. When he went and the new characters came in it sucked. Posh Kenneth was awesome

I am of the age that Skins is suppose to appeal to 16-20. But I can't stand the show. I mean I would love to see the episode where one of them works a 10 shift at Somerfield. Just to make ends meet. Am i the only one who found the people in skins pretty tame, i mean one of them was a magician for gods sake, cook had his moments but his parents were pretty posh so he seemed quite fake, like a bit of a wannabe, and the 1st series had to be the poshest people iv ever seen lol he sung in the fukin quir!! im scottish so i dont know what its like in bristal but in liverpool and stuff they are much worse than in skins! and in scotland!

I think when we were teenagers we wanted our lives to be like Skins but in actual fact it was closer to The Inbetweeners.

Teenagers should be strapped down with eye clamps and forced to watch John Craven's Newsround in six hour sessions... Then they might learn to become decent human beings, Godammit!
