This Corvette is very impressive to me. It seems like it's what the Freedom Class LCS SHOULD have been. It honestly has quite a similar aesthetic and shape to the Freedom Class boats, but it's clearly larger. It's impressive to see a ship of this size pack the punch it does. The helicopter hangar is really essential for it's mission, and other similarly sized boats do not have such a capability. Combined with the range, this ship could easily be used for regional power projection. The only plausible adversary that could realistically put up a fight against a SAG composed of these boats is probably the Greek Navy. Now I'm not a fan of Turkey's geopolitical stances in recent years, but politics aside, I definitely gotta hand it to them with this design. It's very well conceived.

    Actually, the Freedom Class is larger. Freedom-Class: Length 378 ft (115 m) Beam 57.4 ft (17.5 m) Ada-Class: Length 326 ft 8 in (99.56 m) Beam 47 ft 3 in (14.40 m)

She look like an enlarged variant of the Freedom Class LCS made in the U.S. But i think this modern warship is beyond more than that. The Turkish ship building companies has made one of the best and one of the truly reliable modern combat ship of this modern day.

The Turks are trying to get back to the Ottoman Empire, haha, in all seriousness, they’ve done an incredible job over the past decade modernizing. They’ve been able to internally overhaul their research and development and expand production, they’ve become a legit and balanced military.

All thanks to western so-called allies' unending sanctions that were, overall, more severe than sanctions against North Korea.... I predict Türkiye will leave NATO in 2024. We can't take this hypocritical abuse any longer.

Turkey is a country to watch, when the Americans reduce their role worldwide other countries are starting to step up. Turkey has been a bit fickle to work with. When it comes down to it their position geographically has always been strategic. I hope they continue to be a force for good and a reliable partner into the future.

_Atmaca_ is pronounced _Atmaja_ (Atmadʒa). In Turkish, the letter _C_ is equivalent to an English _J_ (James). The letter _Ç_ is _Ch_ (Chocolate) and the letter _Ş_ is _Sh_ (Shakespeare). The letter _J_ is pronounced like a French _J_ (Jacques).

Can you make a guide on BrahMos Missiles? I can't find an accurate source without Indian nationalism. And since India is making such a big deal of it, I really want to know if this missile can challenge the PLAN or perhaps even the USN on the waves

  • @saml7610

It definitely can, since it's basically the Indian version of the P-800 Oniks, which has at the very least demonstrated a potent land attack capability when utilized by the Russians in the Ukrainian special military operation. I would appreciate a round up of the most capable AShM's being used in Asia, though, that's a good idea for a video. Also you're completely correct, it's hard to get good info about Indian systems because of the nationalism angle.

Turkey is in an awkward position, as a NATO member, they are not being loved by the Western nations and when Turkey growes close with China/Russia, they are further isolated in NATO.

  • @realtalk6195

Turkey has always been *_put_* in an awkward position because materially and geopolitically speaking Turkey has always been the second-most important member of NATO,** yet Western nations mostly *_because_* of lobbying by anti-Turkey groups continues to marginalize, demonize or sanction Turkey, even though in most cases it ends up hurting the US and EU's own interests and only benefits those special interest groups. However, Turkey itself has failed in the geostrategic and PR front in many ways as well, despite having the means at its disposable. Meanwhile many of its enemies have far less capabilities but have achieved far more on that front against it. **Turkey single-handedly held back Soviet expansion into the warm waters of the Mediterranean, without which Greece & Syria would have become Soviet satellite states, and which would have dominoed into Egypt and Ethiopia becoming Soviet satellites. Turkey is also the only NATO country that borders countries across the Near East and the Caucasus and has growing influence across Central Asia.

@@trenta.958 It's mostly the Greek and Armenian lobbies, and to a lesser extent the Emiratis/Saudis and recently even some Indians. The former is always lobbying against business interests and defense transactions involving Turkey. You can easily look this up by seeing their own press releases and articles online. They're trying desperately to ban Turkish drones; it won't work of course. Senator Bob Menendez is one of the biggest anti-Turkey hawks in Congress. He's trying to sabotage the potential sale of F16 jets to Turkey. The US kept the $1.5 billion that Turkey paid for the F35s, so that's why it wants to have F16s and modernization kits in its place. Menendez is chair of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee so he has a say on defense transactions. Congressmen of Greek descent, which there are several, are also anti-Turkey hawks. When SpaceX was launching communication rockets for Turkey, the Armenian and Greek lobbies were pressuring Elon to not do the launches. There isn't a thing that they don't push back against. Even Turkish drama series being aired on TV in South America got pushback from the Armenian lobby there.

After 4 Ships were built, the Navy decided to cancel the order of 6(10 total) Ships and instead use the resources to build the Istanbul-Class. The Istanbul-Class ist pretty much the Ada-Class, but longer, to accommodate a Vertical Launching System.
