What a great human being you are Dr. Dan. ❤ Committed to your work and patients, courageous in sharing your own journey without complicating the facts or dwelling on the devastating, very personal trauma you are going through. Again, Dr. Dan I wish you only the very best going forward. Your mindset and ability to put others first is amazing! I have osteoporosis and 9 fractured vertebra/pelvic area problems for which nothing can now be done, apart from pain killers, morphine patches and - a little like you, a positive outlook. Life is a big learning curve. It can be very hard and extremely cruel. 😢 What comes next, we are unable to know for certain. I do sincerely believe that our Soul/Spirit (Consciousness) goes on. You are an Inspiration. God Bless You. ❤

Dr. Dan, I'm an aussie chiro student and i really appreciate these videos, especially how you include the initial consultation. What I appreciate even more is your commitment to helping people, even with enormous struggles of your own. My impression of american chiropractors/chiropractic institutions is quite tainted, but you are a credit to our industry and the type of practitioner who I wish our industry had more of. Best of luck mate

This sort of low back pain plagues so many and for myself, at 53 it's core muscle instability. I've exercised 5-6 days a week all my life and have strong, trained abdominals...the instability comes from improper/neglected Transversus Abdominis. Blows my mind that I can be so strong and well trained and still have an unstable core.

Miracles do happen and am praying for a miracle for you medical interpretations notwithstanding. For you to spend more than an hour with a patient and showing no signs of fatigue despite your situation is incredible. Glad that you are not on pain management yet and may you never experience that awful pain. May you miraculously get healed and leave another 30yrs and beyond. Was given the all clear 2019. 2023 July my right eye started druping had lymph node on right side of neck swollen. Did blood tests and biopsy of lymph node confirmed cancer is back, did pet scan found cancer is in neck lymph node, right hand lung near heart, also left throat and nowhere else. Started chemotherapy 6 treatments already and only 5 days of radiation therapy low dose because of location of cancer near heart and right lung. I am remaining positive and put my trust in God as a Christian i know with God everything is possible. I am happy to have found your KZread channel, it seems we are walking the same path. I was told 6 - 12 months but I am not ready to give in. Have you heard of vitamin C infusion therapy? I am have ct scan scheduled 6th October 2023 to see how things are going so far. Stay safe brother and may God's unconditional love and blessings be upon you. 🙏👍💞 forgive any errors in my grammar. I am 52yrs old/young 😄

It is a shame that this Chiropractor “Liked” your comment. My husband and I have been chiropractors for 35 years helping people by adjusting their spine, which is what Chiropractors go to school for. I sympathize with this Drs health problems, but he is NOT a Chiropractor. He has traded his profession to be a massage therapist. We go tot school for 10 years and are trained to manipulate spinal problems which he is not doing here. I have no idea why he left the profession. But what he is doing here is NOT Chiropractic. It is an adjunct to Chiropractic. I have a separate license in physical therapy but it is an ADDITION to my Chiropractic license. I am proud to be a Chiropractor even though at 67 I don’t practice anymore. He should be using his techniques ALONG with radiographic studies and manipulation of the spine. It is very sad that he no longer respected his profession.

@@prairiedogsareextant we don’t crack necks, we adjust the spine. The sound you hear is due to gases being released not bones cracking. A misconception perpetuated by the medical field. I use activator method, I also use DNFT. (Non force), I also use SOT (sacral occipital technique) depending on the patient needs. I got into the field after a severe problem with my spine in my early 20’s. I was bedridden and on Valium for months. I went to a Chiropractor who took an x ray (This Dr doesn’t), and my cervical curve was completely reversed probably due to 2 whiplash car accidents I had with my boyfriend in my teens. Look at the history and techniques in Chiropractic. Don’t perpetuate the myths and biases against a profession that has helped millions. Dr Dan is like a massage therapist. My degree took 10 years. A massage therapist out of high school takes one year. I have no idea why he didn’t practice Chiropractic. It is a shame.

Changing my diet saved me from debilitating back pain, nerve pain, joint pain, muscle pain, digestive issues, raised blood pressure, 20kg over weight. It took around 8 months for all these problems to resolve. Since 2020 I've been completely pain free and never felt and looked healthier. I'm only eating fatty meats, seafood, eggs and dairy. Prior to that I was eating the mainstream version of a healthy diet (lots of veggies, fruit, whole grains, low fat, eating the rainbow etc) for decades and watching my health slowly decline. I learnt lots watching videos by Dr Ken Berry, Dr Shawn Baker, Dr Gary Fettke, Dr Benjamin Bikman, Dr. Malcolm Kendrick, Dr Anthony Chaffee, Dr Paul Mason etc. And these authors videos Diana Rodgers, Robb Wolf, Lierre Keith. I read this peer-reviewed scientific article, that shows how 2,029 people had amazing results on the diet I'm on it's called "Behavioral Characteristics and Self-Reported Health Status among 2029 Adults Consuming a Carnivore diet".

I get them on Amazon! The brand is Tumble Trak. They're super comfortable, and they fold up out of the way nicely!

A 6-day Medrol Dosepak will make you feel perfect, unless you have a real contraindication to that. Then when you come back, go to the chiropractor.

100% true. I'm not the only one with challenges. We ALL have our own. And I think we ALL enjoy feeling useful, especially if we can help others. My chance to work with people through their recovery is at least as nourishing for me as it hopefully is for them! :)

Actually, the talking is the MOST important thing we do. This is where we find out the impacts on their life, their goals, their fears, their limitations. Without the talking part, we're just guessing with treatments. And having these short, intense relationships with people in pain is such a rewarding, fulfilling part of my life, and hopefully theirs! :)

I hope it is ok to ask this: Does it frustrate you to hear others complain about little things that must seem menial to you now? I know everything is relative, and you can probably tell yourself that.. but do you want to continue to do the job right now? I'm sending you luck! I wish you the best!
