Thanks for your comments. Mine is ready to arrive in a week. I prefer to have doors open to view the fire. Should I just remove the plate from the grt go?

Legally I can’t recommend anything. But I will be trying it without the plate. I will say it will no heat your home efficiently without the doors. So I will be leaving them on.

That is a very nice install. I understand your concerns about leaving it unattended at night it’s only natural. The price of propane is outrageous, my last delivery was over $4.00 gal and I don’t heat with it, I went to heat pumps years ago because keeping a 500 gal tank full was a very expensive ordeal. My fireplace does us a good job but it’s not as extravagant as yours, but it gets us by. We are in west central Alabama so we don’t have extreme conditions very long at a time.

I haven’t confirmed our last propane price on the last fill up about month ago. I believe it was around $2.70/gal. We use the fire place as much as possible and really enjoy it for the purpose we bought it for. Thanks for watching!

On our insert which is 20 years old. We close the flute when the fan comes on. It will burn about 12 logs in a 24hrs. It will get so hot you can’t stay in that room. You can’t see the fire because the glass smokes up so bad. But it does have flames it’s just hot coals when the flute is close and you have to remember to open the flute before you open the doors.

It will run you out of the house. We only can put a couple of logs in it at a time. Just get to warm to be comfortable.

I'm looking to get a elite 44 not sure what the difference is in between yours and the elite what is the maximum length for your outside return airbox to help cool the heat box

Do you have issues with rain coming down the flue? Even with the cap on, im getting a fair amount of water in the fireplace

Thank u for last video very informative we actually are hoping to purchase same unit but I would really like to know if taking that metal plate off cures the Smokey glass issue and issue with having it open without smoking up the room please if possible do that and video this week I’m so unsure now whether to purchase now that would be a deal breaker fior me and sorry for the rush they r on a bit of a sale that ends soon thank u for ur honest input

I’m sure by removing the plate will fix the smoke issue. But for the glass it will not fix it. I’m not able to to do this because the next several days are to warm and it will run us out the house. If you are buying it for the romance of a fireplace then it’s not for that. This fireplace is beautiful and very great for heating your home. It would not be a deal breaker for me to purchase it again.

You said expensive a few times but never said how much?
