Legally I can’t recommend anything. But I will be trying it without the plate. I will say it will no heat your home efficiently without the doors. So I will be leaving them on.

Not trying to make u look dumb. But that’s design to heat the house. Of course you want the blower on when you have the fire going. The plate you’re talking about is called a catalyst like what you have in your car exhaust system. Catyltic converter. The cons you’re referring to are all irrelevant. Understand what you have. Second I would never recommend a tv above fireplace unless you don’t have any other location to Mount 1.
