Hi, thanks for asking. Normally your panels will not agree to that because the issue of biasness will arise. Somebody must compute for you to make sure that the data is intact or original. Your adviser might assist you with that as long as it was permitted by your panels.

Hi, for comparative research, T-test and ANOVA are the common parametric tests. Please consult your adviser or your panels for the appropriate tool. There are a lot of variables to consider.

Hi, thanks for asking. Dalawa ang respondents mo dito. Una ang tinatawag na initial respondents. Around 15-25 lang ang kailangan mong inital respondents. ang data nito ay gagamitin sa reliability test. kapag pumasa sa reliability test, pwede mo nang ifloat sa actual or target respondents mo. The data here is an actual data from the inital respondents.

once lang po ang reliability test using Cronbach's alpha with Likert scale questionnaires. Ang test-retest naman po ay twice kapag ito po ay multiple choice test naman.

Hello po, sa survey po kasi namin is about 3 types of patients then naka categorized pa po sya into three areas. Each areas po 5 items and below lang but still likert scale, possible parin po kaya sya pumasa pag cinompute based po sa internal consistency na binigay nyo or may appropriate po na mas mababang range po ng internal consistency for this no. of items? or should I just compute it po based sa type ng patient, na aabot naman ng 10 items and above. Hi, thanks for asking. Well validity of questionnaires comes first before reliability. Normally, validators of questionnaires would suggest having more than 5 items or at least 10 items per area. This way, your survey tool would be more reliable. It is normally suggested that the passing score for cronbach's alpha is at least 0.70

Hi, thanks for asking. If your survey questionnaire was adapted from another research, what you need to show (as proof) is permission from the author of that research that he/she is allowing you to use his/her data-gathering tool. However, if your panels suggest that you still need to conduct a reliability test for your data-gathering tool (especially if you made some improvement/ revision of the survey tool), then do so. For the conduct of a reliability test for a Likert scale survey questionnaire, you need to have around 15-25 INITIAL RESPONDENTS. Note that initial respondents are different from your actual respondents. To utilize Cronbach's alpha, the result (raw data) of your initial survey should be available. The average score cannot be used for computation using Cronbach's alpha.

In this video example, it will be reported in like this "Cronbach’s Alpha was utilized to measure the internal consistency of the survey questionnaire. The results revealed that the Communication Skills with ten items (α = 0.80), Creativity Skills with ten items (α = 0.83), Critical Thinking Skills with ten items (α = 0.80), and Collaboration Skills with 9 items (α = 0.74) were found reliable."

That can't be right. Redo your solution, and make sure you have placed the correct sum of item variance and the variance of the total score.

Hi, thanks for asking. Kadalasan, ang cronbach's alpha ay ginagamit para sa reliability test ng "Likert Scale" survey questionnaire ng quantitative research. Bago mag conduct ng survey sa research ay kailangan pasado sa reliability and survey questionnaire . Samantala ang item analysis naman ay ginawa pagkatapos ng isang test or examination. Inaaalam ng item analysis kung saan nahirapan at nadalian ang mga nagtake ng exam o kaya naman ano ang item na sobrang madaling masagutan at ano ang item na sobrang hirap masagutan.

You may check it on the Data Gathering Tool in the 2nd chapter of the research itself. Sometimes, the researcher indicates the result of the reliability test in that part.

Hi, thanks for asking. There has been a lot of interpretation about reliability tests using coefficient alpha (Cronbach's Alpha) and coefficient omega (McDonald's Omega). I cannot directly say that they have the same interpretation though "the two measures typically produce similar estimates of reliability when applied to real data" (Hayes and Coutts, 2020). Cronbach never said .70 was an ideal, but it was a rule of thumb in some cases, and in other cases, he said that alpha should be much higher (Oswald, 2015). In some readings, the alpha and omega value of above 0.80 is recommended as the much higher likelihood of good distinction.

However, if you analyze the data, the research would be dealing with nominal and numerical data. It is possible that the statistical tool to be used are t-test and ANOVA if the design is descriptive comparative. It could also be chi-square if the design is descriptive correlational, or they could use other tools like non-parametric...

Depende sa paper nyo, you need to ask your panels kung saan ba dapat magpresurvey for reliability test. This example is specific to teacher education student's kaya need talaga ng ibang teacher education students from a different school. Kung ang focus ng paper ay for 1st year lang, pwede namang kunin na initial respondents for reliability test ang ibang 1st year din from another department (same school).

Regardless of whether this was manually computed or from a software like SPSS, your statistician will need to write your title followed by the result in tabular form which may include the variables of the number of items, the sum of variance, the variance of the total score, the Cronbach's alpha result and the table for interpretation. The name of the statistician should be there with his/her signature. This will fit in a single page added in the Appendix of your research paper.

Ang suggestions ko, pwedeng icompute na lng as is or pwedeng wag na isali yung respondent n yun o kaya naman ay magpasagot ulet ng questionnaire sa ibang respondent at ireject n lng yung response na kulang kulang ang sagot. Kung google form ang ginamit, make sure n lahat ng item ay naka on ang "required" option para walng blanko sa responses.

@@glentox1563 I've already watched the first link that you sent, Sir. Kaso kasi survey questionnaire kami, 4 point likert scale (SD, Disagree, Agree, SA). We initially followed your video, yung 1st link nga with 172 respondents but it's about the difficulty and discrimination. It's about what is right and wrong. And obviously, our questionnaire is not a teacher made as it was made by us, undergraduate students. Actually, while our research adviser was talking about the item analysis, parang hindi rin siya sure sa sinasabi niya lol but she mentioned the usage of cronbach's alpha. So, as of today, ang ginawa namin ay iyang tinuro mo sa taas.

@@needtogettherest Variance is a measure of spread or variability. Result could vary depending on the raw scores you are computing. I am not sure about your raw data but in my experience of computing the reliability test of survey questionnaires using Cronbach's alpha, I never got a variance of 100.
