This game was always so obscure that in all my life I’ve never met another person online or in real life that has ever even heard of this game. Likely one of my favorite SNES games of all time.

I remember my brother had the first one on SNES. I think it was one of the first games I ever beat on the SNES. I never played the sequel though, but I'm looking forward to getting this.

Ah but I have and loved it in my youth. I had thought Square forgotten it like Capcom has forgotten Breath of Fire.

I sincerely hope this game does well enough that we see remakes (or even just ports) for more of Quintet's SNES games. Giving Terranigma an official NTSC release would be awesome even if it's not a remake!

Same here, this is one of my favourite childhood games, and so unique with the Action/Adventure merging with the RTS

If you didn't play the 2 original games, go for it, even on an emulator. It's 2 hidden diamonds of the snes!

Wow taking us back to the Snes days, this was one of my most played games. Good to see a new game being brought to the switch. The game art style looks sick.

Actraiser and actraiser 2 is some of the hardest shiat you will EVER play. My Dad beat both of them. Damn this takes me back. I’m 40 now and I remember thinking they were impossible to beat back then. Man I wish we could play this together. Wish I could see his reaction.

Both Actraisers are difficult (especially 2) and are great games, this remake was literally the thing I expected the least to be remade and my mind got blown, and now I find myself revisiting the original AND playing the remake simultaneously (not to mention that I double dipped for the game... Got it on PS4 and Switch)

This was my favourite game on the Snes...30 years ago arrrghh I'm so old and still gaming. Definitely buying this.

In my case not 30 years ago but... yeah, I agree, it was one of my SNES favorites, and this remake made me want to complete my SNES revisit (and recording) to also do the same for the remake.

FINALLY! One of the GREATEST UNDERRATED games of all time gets a reboot. I have been wishing this for YEARS and now I have it! I cannot stop playing on the switch! Killer graphics, music and gameplay just doesn’t stop!

I just downloaded this for m...I mean my 14 year old kid. We were 20 in college and used to rent not only the game but the console to play this. I think I just went back 30 years! At first we were so clueless we thought the entire game was just the little angel flying around until we figured out there were actual battle sequences. (Yeah, I know - an 8 year old at the time could have set us straight). Eventually we kind of knew this was an instant classic and a generation would remember it. This is great.

Let’s hope this sells well! The Quintet games are cult classics and deserve to be released on modern platforms!

@@Dairunt1 me too, man. Every living soul needs to experience terranigma at least once in their life. That story is seriously something else. The world was not ready for it at the time, that can be the only reason it sold poorly. It is the perfect game in every aspect.

Aside from almost being a brand new game, the cost is totally worth now being able to play this classic on the toilet

Wow with this remaster I can now hope to see someone doing an ActRaiser concert. I have listened to the original Symphonic Suite100s of times.

Actraiser was a really underrated SNES game. Pleasantly surprised to see it getting some love in 2021

One of my absolute favorite and remembered games. So unique. Already bought and having fun. Definitely a new game in many regards retaining the spirit of the original

I saw this, and knew the general reaction would either be “what is this?” or “Omg yes!”.

Awesome! Can't wait to play this.

Literally the best thing from the direct. Actraiser is an amazing game and Yuzo Koshiro does an outstanding job on the soundtrack. 🤘

I couldn't scream because I was at work but... man, I got really happy and my partner at work noticed that because I got eager to complete my tasks just to go home and get the game (...twice) for my Switch (and Ps4 because... I had the chance to double dip for the game and I didn't mind about that at all, especially after quad-dip for other games like the Mega Man Legacy Collections).

Bought it the moment it dropped. And I couldn't be happier. I wasn't expecting so many new elements, nor to enjoy them as much as I currently am. Renaissance is a beautifully reimagined take on the (currently) 31-year-old classic and I highly recommend it. :)

the asymetric gameplay really captured my attention, I bought it and it's good fun, I like the nostalgic feeling playing it

This was a surprise for me, in all honesty! I love Actraiser 1 specially the simulation aspect, so now they are releasing this for Switch...so cool!

Had an SNES strategy guide that talked about this one. Always wanted to play it but never had a console that had a copy I could play. Glad to change that now.

Bruh, her BGM is literally called "KoroneRaiser - Inumore", and was composed by Actraiser's composer, Yuzo Koshiro, on original SNES soundchip equipment. It was a "birthday gift" commissioned for her hot off the heels of her Actraiser letsplay.

Seeing a Quintet game in the year 2021 is just surreal, man...

Oh man I can't wait to try this new Switch version. I just played this game a few months ago on SNES almost to completion but the final stage has like all 4 or 5 bosses you have to fight at the end, in one swoop, without being allowed to reup your hearts or magic, which was like impossible (for me) to do but still was a ton of fun. I just gave up eventually after trying 100+ times lol

Death Heim... yeah, the boss rush (and final) stage of the game, it has it's strategies to deal with, but one thing I can say for sure, is that the European SNES version got the hardest Death Heim while the USA is in the middle in terms of difficulty, I usually use the stardust spell for that Boss Rush... unless I'm playing the Special Act only mode in the USA or JPN release were you can't get magic, the Arcade and European versions modified item drops to never give you 1-ups but magics and max HP ups instead.

Sure wasn't expecting a remake of Actraiser let alone it dropping the same day. I always thought this series should make a comeback.
