Yup. Never heard anyone like him before. What I suspected during SOS is now confirmed - I think he's the best singer I have ever heard.

A few years ago he was on a competition show, here in the States, that he participated in. I forget the name of the show, but it hasn’t come back. He won a few weeks in a row, then started getting criticism. They were saying that he was throwing in his vocal acrobatics that were not needed in the song, and deducted votes because they said he was just showing off. One judge told him that just because he COULD do those things, didn’t mean that he should. The next week he sang, and stopped the judges and told them he was withdrawing from the competition. He was competing against a little girl, and he told them he felt she deserved it, he didn’t need it. Ru Paul was one of the judges, and he got furious and started telling him, you can’t do this ! We don’t do things that way in this country. He was (almost) yelling at him. Dimash remained calm and walked away..... Ru Paul and the other judges were not so calm. I think Katy Perry may have been one of the other judges, but I am not sure. It has been a few years. I was so proud of him. He was being subtly humiliated for doing what he does, and doing it well, and then being heatedly told off on public television for withdrawing from the show ! No, we don’t see that happen on our shows here, mostly because peopled are afraid to stand up for themselves against this huge industry full of bullies. He is a rare human being. So humble and so kind.

Hi! I'll tell you a bit, I discovered Dimash at the same time I was on The Singer program in China by chance because I was following the program. I never felt for any musician or singer what I feel with him. I am 52 years old, I like many styles of music from AC / DC (I was in River when they came), opera, classical music, tango, etc. but with him it's amazing, so I understand you. He puts a lot of passion into his interpretation, he tells you a story in each song. If you have possibilities, I recommend that you look at his reports, you will discover a very humble being, with his feet on the ground. He does not believe himself a star, he knows he has a gift but he does not stay with that, he is super professional that is why he always continues to study and exercise with his teachers. He is super grateful to his family and to all those who ever taught him, and he says that he is simply the result of their work and effort and their dedication. He is very proud to be a Kazakh and his dream is to spread the music of the great Kazakh composers around the world. Let your audience join in the language of music without thinking about borders, cultural, political, etc. To a certain extent he succeeded because in his concerts you see people from different parts of the world, of different ages singing in languages that are not their own (Kazakh, Chinese, English, Russian, Italian, etc). He is also interested in the music of other cultures. It always expresses the need for a world without wars and the importance that must be given to the happiness of children, with a more just world for all. He considers himself an ordinary young man who has the dream of many, with his defects and his virtues, that his followers believe him to be perfect, but he remarks that he is not, he is only a professional who works what he likes and thinks about giving happiness and thrill with his art, he considers that this is his way of contributing for a better future. I send you a big hug from Puerto Madryn, Argentina,

I am amazed with the whole package of Dimash. He is a perfect vocalist, a very good looking guy, truly loves people, has a great heart, and would be the perfect guy to take home for mom and dads approval. LOL Vocally when he lands on a note he lands dead in the middle of it; he's not searching for it and he's also not afraid of going up high enough to get to it. He is a total performer and while I have no idea what he's saying most of the time - I sure feel it and know exactly what he's trying to tell in the story he is telling. I've watched him now for a few years and I'm still amazed at the reaction videos and how he has the ability to take you on a journey (and he knows exactly where he is taking you) and not only that but he makes you feel exactly what he wants you to feel - even if you don't expect it or want it - you will still feel it. I've watched big, buff guys that would only listen to rock or other music sit there listening to Dimash as they break down and cry and don't even know why it's happening. They are shocked at the power that music has to truly move them. He is someone who uses his entire body to tell the story, not just his voice. As a musician and singer I know how many hours of practice you must put in each day and even though he's at the top of the mountain in music I can guarantee you that he's still putting in hours every day practicing his craft.

About Dimash's self-esteem of his vocal level. In one of his interviews (he gave this interview to children, and this was one of his best interviews), he said that he used to often look at the reactions of people to his songs on KZread, but now he completely stopped doing this, since he realized that came to a dangerous point when you begin to believe in the praise of the reactionaries. And although praise is always pleasant, it harms both self-esteem and the desire to develop further. Therefore, he is skeptical about the idea that he could be the best singer on the planet, as the musical world is so diverse. He often repeats in various interviews that he has something to improve in his skills, and he intends to take vocal lessons throughout his singing career. But, of course, all this does not prevent us from considering him the best singer in the known Universe ;) At the same time, indeed, we are amazed to observe how he continues to improve and expand his vocal capabilities. О_о

I offer a little information about the song "Sinful Passion". This song is old. She's over 20 years old. The first performer of this song was a singer from Kazakhstan Batyrkhan Shukenov (he died in 2015). Dimash sang this song for the first time in Russia in Sochi at the New Wave Festival on September 9, 2018. He didn't imitate the first performer. Dimash used all his phenomenal abilities and made a completely different interpretation of this song. I can't remember a single song where the singer changed 5 voices (from baritone to soprano) and 4 octaves in one song. And Dimash did it easily. At the end of the song, Dimash sang vocals for 22 seconds in one breath.Dimash tells a great story and draws us into it. Many viewers cry, others have chills. And all together they sit like under hypnosis

Hello, I’m from Brazil! The story behind this song is very interesting: The band that accompanies Dimash is the same one that composed the song, without the singer who died after a heart attack! The band is also from Kazakhstan and this performance by Dimash revitalized the song. In addition, the final part he added, with an oriental technique. The song was originally performed in 1998 and the band's name is A'Studio (Russian-based Kazakhstani pop music group, "Alma-Ata Studio", city of Almaty). The dead singer left the band in 2000 and passed away in 2015 and his name was Batyrkhan Shukenov. The lyrics are by the poet Ilia Reznik together with Baigaly Serkebayev, who is the keyboardist with long hair, which we see in the video accompanying Dimash.

My favorite Dimash song which is saying a lot because I love them all. His traditional Kazakh songs are absolutely incredible. You might be interested in seeing Samaltau from the Tokyo Jazz Festival. He did that performance sitting in his home studio during the pandemic. The traditional instruments are absolutely stunning and something I doubt you have seen before. Also, Know from Kiev. Know has many versions. He sings the lyrics at New Wave, but in Kiev, as well as in New York, he simply sat flat on his bum on the stage and vocalized. Just hauntingly beautiful. If you decide you would like to do one of these, respond when you have time and I will send links to make it easier.

I want to agree with you when you talk about Dimash 's ambition to be the best and to prove it every day. He is confident in his abilities and he is a perfectionist and cannot be satisfied with just being good. But that's not enough to explain his relationship to the public. What makes him precious to me, and not just to me, is that his ambition is at the service of his imperative need to make people happy. He needs to make people happy. Often he says that his driving force in his life is to see "the smile on his parents' faces, there is no greater motivation". This quality is placed at the service of his talent and gives him the capacity to work constantly, to devote his whole life to it. It's a hell of a motivation. This is why it is precious. Thank you from france

Dimash is currently going for a bachelors in composition. His passion for music is so strong that I swear he barely sleeps. In his studio, he and his friend have been known to go most of the day and all night when they are involved in a new song or creating. He sings in several genres so keep watching. He always surprises even after the 4 years I have been watching him. I do not like to listen to Dimash unless I can watch him. He is the song. You are right because Dimash is always working to make his voice and performances better. He genuinely loves his fans to the point that he named us his Dears. You should really watch is first concert that was done in Kazakhstan. It is called Bastau and can be found on hiss official site. It is unlike any concert you have ever seen before. Most main singers sing a few songs and are gone. Not Dimash. His first concert was emotional for him because he was in his home country performing for fans who came from all around the world. They got more than their money's worth and it won Concert of the Year. BASTAU

the announcer used the Russian version of his name, hence he added -"nov" to Dimash's surname. Also, this song was written by the band that is performing in this performance maybe 10 years ago. When Dimash decided to do this song, he asked the orginating band if they wanted to collaborate. and they said yes. Also, the song is dedicated to the original singer who has died. At the end, â guy wearing a white shirt stood up. That is Igor Krutoy, a Russian music producer and composer.

Dimash is the best singer in the WORLD and there are no doubts about that, his voice is a prodigy of nature and a genetic marvel since his parents are two glories of singing from Kazakhstan since he was 5 years old, he sings publicly and has more than twenty years of lyrical training and graduated from the university of music, he is a singer, composer, arranger and multi instrumentalist, he plays more than seven musical instruments and sings in more than nine languages, he is also a great performer and a great artist who lives and feels music He is not an imitator of voices , Dimash has his own style and is one of the forerunners of the "Popera" he also has a very pleasant, Humble and simple personality, easy access, which makes it very easy to follow, he always travels with His family and friends is a very educated person and an example to follow, he has become known for his musical talent not for getting into trouble or scandals, he is a singer with a wide vocal range very versatile is Baritone, Tenor, Soprano, against Tenor, mezasoprano, everything at the same time is how to have 5 singers in one, it has a male and female voice, also many resources such as vibrato, "melismas", falsetto, Staccato, whistle tone, reaching a D8 live at the concert of Gakku in an unforgettable day, at his young age he continues to improve and grow musically to perfection, he has a good physical presence he measures 192 cm or 6 "3", he is very famous and recognized in Asia and now he is becoming known In Europe and America, ALL their songs are spectacular, it always goes from low to high, soft to spectacular at the end, in my almost half a century of life I never heard so much quality and it is the hope of continuity of the classical genre because all the old tenors have already Almost all of them died and Dimash can sing like them but none of them can sing like Dimash, being a Man he sings better than any Tenor and his female voice is superior to that of any average Soprano, greetings and a hug from Venezuela🇻🇪, "Dears" Forever ❤️👍🏻 Sorry for copying and pasting my informative comment in ALL the Video reactions to Dimash what I see but I do it with the intention of sharing information about him and what I think that in the music industry there are many artists who have been successful and have no talent and are bad people and they do not set a good example for the youth, Dimash and his music deserve to triumph in America, Europe and the whole WORLD, do you want to have already read my comment please come by without problem there is always someone who for the first time knows this information and I won't get tired of sharing it with all my friends"Dear" around the world, thanks for reading and for supporting Dimash 🙏🏻S.O.S. Despite his incredible abilities, and the vocal demonstration he does often with his perfomances, Dimash is all about conveying emotions trough his singing, that's why every song from him is just so beautiful. It's not just showing off skills, it's using it for making feel something to the audience. You're right, he's not only an amazing singer, but also a wonderful performer and interpret. With more time, you will also see that Dimash is rarely limited by skills or range, most of the time whatever he's doing, it's not because he can't do it in another way, but it's just a creative choice. Anyway, I as always loved the video, thank you so much, have a wonderful day ! :)

Dimash is the best vocalist on earth , yes he knows that, yet he is so very humble and down to earth. I am lucky I speak Russian and my mother tongue is Uzbek, which is very similar to Kazakh language and I can understand majority of his songs, but I also hear him always, constantly thanking his grandmother who despite of her old age and problems with her legs used to take him to music classes, he also thanks his parents for, always no matter what, being huge help and support, he constantly thanks Igor Krutoy and also his band , and he calls each one by name and applaud each of them on the stage. But most importantly he ALWAYS thanks his fans and very humbly says: “I love you all and I am never tired of expressing my love to you!” Once in Armau he said: “ I feel like I am Pavarotti or Michael Jackson right now” He is also big on charity, there is a whole organization that does charity sponsored by Dimash, but he never says that out loud, he doesn’t want to show off, because he is a very God fearing and faithful man. His last name is Khudaibergen, which in Kazakh is “Given by God” and he truly IS given by God TO ALL of us!

This performance is from 2018 and his voice has matured even more since ... he's just so good ... every single time. I'm along for your Dimash journey ... he will blow your mind!! ♥️!

Excellent reaction friend Cedric, by the way I admire your acting work. Here from Panama and some data on the song. Sinful Pasión, success in Kazakhstan in 1992 by the band A-Studio, which Dimash performs here in the video in 2018. He is accompanied in this presentation by the same original band A-Studio. Only the original singer is not there because he had died a short time ago, so Dimash in the middle of the song pays a posthumous tribute to the singer, making those ritual voices that in regions of the Middle East perform to honor their dead (it is the part in which it makes your vibrato speed up more and more). The song was originally sung in 2 octaves and Dimash takes it to other Dimansions by singing it within a 5 octave range. DIMASH interpreted this song so masterfully that at first it was thought it was an original song, by the way that last note from Dimash in this song lasted 23 seconds at full voice, incredible. Next stop for you Cedric if you allow me to suggest, is to react to ADAGGIO (version, The Singer from china), or to Daybreak (Bastau Concert), either one will drive you crazy. You still have a long way to go and every time you hallucinate much more. Dimash will always surprise you in each song, he never disappoints. Blessings and successes on your channel. By the way, I subscribe to your channel because I want to see how you continue to become fans of this monster called to be the mega-star of this generation.

Mr. Qudaibergen use his own "Turkic Vocal Tecnicques." This is not middle-eastern style. It is a Turkic Tuva/Sakha style. Dimash used Kazak singing technique. You can hear it from the all Turan group. Sakha people ( Russia) uses this technique too. Tuvan throat singing (Khoomei,xöömei in Tuvan) is one particular variant of overtone singing practiced by people in Turkic Tribes (one of them Tuva), Mongolia, Inner Mongolia and Siberia. Examples for Khoomei: An epitome: kzread.info/dash/bejne/o6xsytShcr2waZs.html kzread.info/dash/bejne/fpeCybmRl9yzaJs.html Dimash use the more modern version (for the last millennium) of these kind of Turkic vocal techniques named "makams" in "Know" and ""Hello".İndia countries were under the dominition of Turkic Babur Empire more than 300 years. mid-east countries were under the dominition of Ottoman Empire more than 400 years. (Not the other way round.) They were learned -little bit- this kind of styles of "makam" from Turks. This link is an Arab man's Sinful Passion reaction: kzread.info/dash/bejne/aWSKx6-ol7ffdaw.html Basic and clean. Arab Man said never heard it like this thing, because these are NOT Arab yodels. Music was a one of the "Big Sins" to arabs for long centuries. And, sory, laments? If you died in Mecca, you did not have even a tombstone. They (wahhabis) will say "sin" and "pagan". Also geographically, Any Turkic country is not in the middle east. Middle east is technically, south of Mediterranean between north of Sub-saharan.

3 yrs ago a video popped up on my KZread feed that said "is this the best singer in the world?" Looked really cheesy and I thought yeah that's just click bait but I was bored and clicked on it. It was SOS from The Singer. Oh my gosh!! I was shocked! He truly is the best singer on the globe! And continues to improve on every performance. So now I can admit that I am a Dimash junkie and can't wait for the next video! He ALWAYS surprises!

Thank you for this reaction. You are really critical to yourself, but I like it. Besides the question if Dimash is the best singer in the world, which can`t be answered objectively, he is the only one who captivates me completely, takes me on an emotional journey, makes me loosing myself and finding me, feeling happiness, sadness, hope. The beauty of his voice brings joy and inner satisfaction. He gives the strength I need to get through these times and through every day. I am so grateful, that he lives during my lifetime.

If you follow his journey over the past 3 years you will find that this was a 'red letter' performance. This was specifically for Igor Krutoy, (the bald guy standing after the performance) so you are absolutely correct he had a very, very important goal to achieve here and the rest as they say, is history. Love your reaction.
