What a difference from the other news report that showed far more video than this highly edited version. The other news report video showed camera footage of from when Trejo got out of the car until the end. You clearly see in that video that the woman put hands on him first and he pushed it away immediately. (Also, he was pelted by 2 water balloons before the fight ensued.) This media angle of portraying Danny as the main aggressor was way out of line. I'm highly disappointed, ABC.

There have always been friendly water balloon and canon "fights", but generally they were between kids in the parade and their friends along the route. I know some of the parents and others related to that group who threw the balloons, and think the ones involved in this escapade should offer an apology to both Mr. Trejo and his friend, and to the whole community for disgracing it and putting it in the spotlight for being a shithole for yet another reason.

I just watched the same news about Trejo but from fox 11 and they were very clear that Trejo was just defending himself after they threw a water balloon at him then he got punched in the face. Now abc 7 made it seem like Trejo was violent for no reason..

If you hit Trejo is hitting an elderly person. He is a super oldman.

These celebrants were highly disrespectful to Danny and Co. He’s OG style and you don’t show such disregard for a celeb who returns to the hood to help celebrate and bring some happiness to people. Shame on the crowd for thinking that blasting an elder gentleman was the right thing to do. Too much Modelo and not enough humility. Whoever thought this was funny or that retaliation was the course, isn’t much of a brain user.

No big deal. Seems like he was engaging positively with everyone before the incident, until someone hurled a water balloon at him. But judging by what the kid in the interview is saying, it seems like tradition. So pretty much a misunderstanding between both parties. As long as nobody got hurt (aside from the thrown chair), it's fine. In today's day and age, people would have pulled a knife or a gun for the most petty situations. You saw none of that here. Carry on.
