But I will say the campaign, animations, and graphics haven’t been topped up until bo6. Bo6 looks the same graphics wise as mw19.

Blame Truth said it best, "They'll never sell you a game that's so good, you won't buy the next one." If they made the best COD possible, people wouldn't want to buy the next game. Look at BO2. That game was so good that people just kept playing it instead of moving on. Ghosts? People just stuck to BO2. AW? People went back to BO2. It wasn't until BO3 that most people moved on, and then with IW, people said fuck this and played MWR instead. Activision learned their lesson. If they make a good game, people won't have an incentive to buy any of the new games.

@TANMAN84 For me, after BO2, I pretty much switched to BF4 and Titanfall 1 as my main FPS games. I still played Ghosts and AW, but not as much as BF4 and TF1. I never even touched BO3 during its lifecycle. It wasn't really my thing, but i can recognize that most people loved it. Then, with BF1 and TF2, I barely touched IW or MWR, though I did play them. I remember loving the IW campaign. It wasn't until WW2 and BO4 that I really got seriously back into COD. But now, after all the BS of the last 5 years of COD, I'm thinking it's time for another hiatus. I'm glad XDEFIANT is good cause it gives me something to replace COD with.

Advanced Warfare was the direct cut-off of real Call of Duty, the only good thing about "bolll" was the zombies, a little, but Black Ops ll having been crunched started the downfall.

We (OG players) hate Activision. But the new generations playing this crap love it and they love the stupid skins they keep pumping out. How do I know? Because that’s what they focus the most on pushing on us: that which is profitable.

I played the OG shit back when I was a kid, and I enjoyed it. Campaign wise, I can't say anything about the newer games because I haven't even touched them but the OGs were good. I do believe that a lot of the fanbase is blinded by nostalgia, however, similar to the Halo fanbase. I can see why, as someone who plays a shit ton of MW3 from '23, it's a fuckin' mess. But I bought BO2, which came out right after the OG MW3 and it was a bit....rough, so to say. It runs really well, but replaying it now after 10 years, I can see that there were some issues. I don't hate the OG stuff, much like I don't hate the new stuff. I feel like both had a lot to bring to the table. I do, personally, like the operator set up they have in the recent games because I like the freedom of being able to not look like soldier 1 or soldier 2. I already did that when I was in the Army, I was either soldier 1 or 2. But I do know it's 100% a cash grab as are the tracer packs. Do I think that MW19-MW23 are "embarrassments"? No, not really. They're below the standard that the fanbase has which is totally fine. It happens. Other games were considered embarrassments (Advanced Warfare & Infinite Warfare). I do enjoy Warzone, though, I feel like that it's the better of the Battle Royal games. But that's my opinion.

It often takes players of Call of Duty about five to eight years to recognize the game's shortcomings. The developers may remove popular features, implement nerfs, or introduce charges. It's best to stick with the version of the game you enjoy the most.

The problem with that is the majority of the playerbase moves on to the next game every year. Sure, you can still find matches on MW2019 or Cold War, but the amount of people still playing those games is near zero. Go even further back and the player population gets even smaller, and with Microsoft taking the axe to the 360, all the games from the 360 era are going to become extinct because eventually, they'll shut the servers down too.

Gunsmith genuinely made it more tedious to unlock attachments and figure out good loadouts because the meta defines everything useful and useless And MW2023 having you to log in daily for ONE attachment is ridiculous

What annoys me most about the release of MW2 is that until MW2019 everything was very good; the game lasted two years with full servers and no problems apart from the horrible maps. Then with the release of MW2, without any content, I realized that I had been scammed. The maps from MW2 never came, they released Season 6 in September, and then said they would finish the content because the release of MW3 was near, and all the content would be "inherited" by the next game. This made me even more pissed off. Basically, you pay full price for a game that lasts less than a year, and the next one comes out even worse. Apart from these crappy skins, I miss when the game had a war lore. I remember how the flip from WW3 to MW3 in the game's presentation trailer gave me chills, and now we have this. Activision is lucky that Microsoft is releasing BO6 day 1 on Game Pass, because I would never even consider spending money on this franchise ever again.

Same man, I saw mw2019 going in the somewhat right direction and mw22 was supposed to knock it out of the park. Everyone was saying it was a great game too, but it was just a bunch of lying, conniving, cod shills. I learned my lesson. The day I see Activision go under, will be a glorious day.

I would have bought ANY COD that had MW2 MP remastered attached to it. Activision lost out on a bunch of sales by not releasing it… Maybe they can release it with AW2 because you know a bunch of people are gonna be mad about jet packs.

We had it good back in the day from OG MW2 to Black Ops 3. We were spoiled af back in the day. Just to hear how evil this company is year after year just continues not to surprise me, we could have had MW2 remastered Multiplayer this whole time just blows me away. I remember back in 2020 there was insiders saying MW'19 wouldn't get MW2 maps because Activision was planning to make an "spiritual MW2 remake" in the next game, so i think it's more stupid how that didn't happen until MWII's DLC which was also a leak to be a MWII premium expansion

As much as this pisses me off, I would have been okay even if we just got Campaign *and* Spec Ops.

I honestly miss the original MW2 the most, followed by Advanced Warfare (I know this probably isn’t a popular opinion). OG MW2 holds the most nostalgia and the essence of great FPS multiplayer gaming, while Advanced Warfare, while being VERY different in style, kept me and my group of friends who I played with entertained for long after the initial year and kept me wanting it to last longer (hated Infinite Warfare).

I have to salute those that are still playing COD, especially the OG players, that is some serious dedication. I played COD from the very first, but I saw the writing on the wall of the franchise way back with the original Modern Warfare 2 on Xbox 360, and bailed. I have played the more modern titles but Call of Duty 4 was, in my humble opinion, the zenith of the franchise, with World at War being the last really good entry. COD has since become Activisions Fifa, same recycled half arsed trash, rinse and repeat.

I stayed slightly, I abandoned mw2 and wz 2 until mw3 and wz3, and frankly I think it's still shit. Frankly put, if bo6 is a flop then I think pretty much every player with an iq not in the negatives is gonna drop it.

You forgot to mention that even if all the monetization is perfect for modern warfare 2 remastered, engagement optimized matchmaking will literally ruin it anyways, so it doesn’t matter what they do because they’ll never change that

I payed 75$ for mw2 disc version and can't even play campaign offline . Dat shyt blowed me.

Even down to that mastery camo. They could have fixed Orion camo to look just like what interstellar does, but they didn’t (btw, they are the same camo and I would love to see someone argue otherwise). And honestly, it’s definitely done on purpose. On release of MW2022, the camos looked better, until like season 3 where they messed them up.

We’re really stupid consumers, aren’t we? We could EASILY do what the chipotle consumers are doing, and STOP buying what they’re selling, until change is implemented. It’s so simple, and yet, we keep boosting their sales. Why? Our generation is the one that can afford to buy these games. The younger generation is a small fraction of this community. We have the power, but we don’t utilize it.

So I was replaying some Cold War campaign and outbreak zombies since multiplayer is a damn crack house. The only enjoyment I get out of Cold War is zombies yes it has a couple of bugs, the zombie AI isn’t the best in the world and I crashed a couple times. What I’m getting at here is that the current state of COD is dying but in the past there’s a sense of enjoyment from the little things even in some of the bad games. And it’s only a rare occurrence to even go back to them.

Really wish they would be done with 1 year support and move on to the next. It doesn't work in the long run just pumping out games constantly back to back.. Do a 3-4 year support for each game so they actually have time to develop and so players can take in each game and enjoy them.

Honestly I knew it the second I saw the the menu in MW2 campaign remastered! Is it just a coincidence that the menu for MW2 Campaign remastered main menu looked exactly like the campaign submenu in MW1 remastered? It’s almost like they had the whole game and just sliced out the campaign to sell

Bo6 zombies might be good but not the multiplayer I bet there will be a broken glitch with the omni movement, yea they will be bundles it's inevitable
