    Keav, great review as always! Without handling them and using them, the MTM still looks the best to my eye. The Active is just too bulky in the head. I'd think it would be hard to get around the tires to clean the wheel wells. Which I have to do in the winter after driving in the snow and other gunk. I loved the blooper at the end. I saw the parts fallout and went "Oh shit! How's that go back together?" 🤣

    So I've been really enjoying this product. I was a little confused about the click mechanism as well, so I was researching it a bit. I believe the Mosmatic does this too. From what I can understand, and it also makes sense when I try it myself, is that the trigger pull BEFORE the click has a bit of tension and may be good for short accurate bursts, but the ball bearing the with click is when the tension breaks and requires essentially no pulling force to hold the trigger down. After doing it myself, it seems right. All of the tension seems to be before the click happens.

  • @CarsWithKeav

    @CarsWithKeav

    Жыл бұрын

    Agreed on this assumption, but when you hold an SGS28 trigger it requires no tension. Active still after the click requires a little grip to keep it spraying. It’s very minimal In comparison to just about anything out there, but that SGS28 had me spoiled.

  • @KiranPatel-fk1pg

    @KiranPatel-fk1pg

    Жыл бұрын

    The weird thing about the Mosmatic is that it sprays before the trigger clicks so the fact it clicks in is somewhat pointless since you can get it to spray by lightly pulling. One thing I will say though is that it's nice to have some resistance, the SGS28 has zero resistance and I found I'd accidentally spray it all the time.

  • @joshread3740

  • @CarsWithKeav

    @CarsWithKeav

    6 ай бұрын

    The quick connect will only rotate up until it’s pressurized then it will barely move and if you move too much it can break the gasket seals. Spinning inside the gun allows it to spin regardless of pressure and makes dealing with heavy hoses way easier.

    So your saying the OG Mosimatic gun internals aren't fully stainless? So what you are getting is the internal swivel and internal connector at the top with less stainless for 2X the price? • @CarsWithKeav

    I hate to say it , but just about all of them tend to have the same type of internals when it comes to the valves and body. Just the swivel, trigger pull, ergonomics and quick connects is where the money is spent for techonology. MTM SGS28 is nickel plated brass for corrosion, but really what are you going to do with the outside of the internals that will corrode? I have dropped my sgs28 a thousand times. I drop it every time I am done spraying and only thing I have replaced is the tip quick connect one time due to wearing out the bearings. Too much $$ for most people. For me I want to review everything and probably will buy it for a video. Mosmatic to me doesn’t have enough to beat the SGS28 in terms of value. Most can get a hose, fittings and spray gun for the cost of a Mosmatic. I’m sure it is amazing. Performance is a vaguely used term sometimes, but from my definition the Mosmatic would not have anymore performance. It might have a better feeling trigger, swivel, fittings, etc. The PSI and Flow will not be any different. OG sells the SGS28 so that shows Matt thinks it’s good of course he helped design it that’s why it’s stainless internals.

    Not sure what happened to yours did you reach out about warranty this is the first gun I have heard have problems. My Active gun is still working quite well use it a good bit, but prefer the SGS28 still it is just been my workhorse for years. I know many who use the Active gun everyday in their mobile detailing setup. Not sure about any sales pitch I do honest reviews if you don't believe it thats cool. I just show everything about the product compare it to something I know. Several times in the video I show things I don't like about it. I would never buy Mosmatic the SGS28 gun to me is the better choice even Matt from OG wanted that to be his exclusive product as he had a hand in the design.

    @@manrex5238 Absolutely brother you say what you want you have that right. I'm not saying its the only one to have an issue with as many out there there has to be some defects no manufacturer is perfect. It is just the first I have heard of. I think it is that ball bearing and spring that I took out in the video. I didn't like the feel and it takes complication of it. Simple is usually always better which is why I love the SGS28. Hope you are able to resolve it as when it is working its a pretty good gun.

    1.25 when using with the Active 2.0. You can’t run a 1.1 as it will go over 15 AMPs. I am Actually thinking of going to 1.35 to help save some life on the motor. 1.25 still gets close to 15 AMPs

    I don't get why anyone would spend this kind of money on a trigger that doesn't have a trigger lock so you can rinse a car without holding the trigger. That should be a required feature at this price point.

  • @CarsWithKeav

    What pressure washer gun do you have that has a lock to keep the trigger held? It’s an industry standard to not have one due to liability concerns with safety. No major manufacturer I know of has that feature. Some very powerful pressure washers are being used with these guns. I see people use Velcro sometimes to hold it down. I might want to review a gun with that feature.

    I get why you’d think that for ease of use but it’s actually opposite of what you’re thinking. The lock is so you can’t squeeze the trigger.

    @@annagraham6204 big safety issue with an auto lock feature I would think. 3k psi pressure washer and you lock it to run then trip and fall then the stream takes out your eyeball or something or damages property.

    @@autopeakdetailing Not a fan of the more expensive MTM SGS35 as it’s too big. The SGS28 is $85 free shipping with fittings on Amazon. Not sure what Detail division charges for shipping as it’s $4.99 if you spend over $199. Might be approaching $110 with shipping charges. I hear good things though.
