@@violentshemp7776 the joke is that if god did exist, and was all powerful, one of the things it would be doing is giving AIDS to babies, which contrasts with the notion of a benevolent god. It's not trying to say anything at all about the actions of anyone in Africa

God is sovereign... but it doesn’t mean everything that happens in this world is his will. It’s poor theology. We humans tend to define who God is with our limited minds...and fit him into a box if we can’t understand his ways.

@Rab. C. Nesbitt Do you really think that there's a "God"? If you do, you're so easily led! Why do you believe in something that no one has even been able to prove? Humans have been pretty intelligent for about 2000 years at least, but never been able to prove the existence of a God or show any scrap of evidence to support one. Humans invented the Gods (yours included) as a was to try to explain things that they couldn't explain. You essentially believe what another human being wrote down thousands of years ago... Why? Just because somebody said it thousands of years ago? With no evidence to support their claim? Do you believe in "alternative medicine" or horoscopes? What if i said there's a giant tea pot orbiting the Earth. And just because i said it now, in 2000 years people started believing it? It's basically the same thing. Anyone who believes in any sort of God or Gods in this day and age need to grow up and stop being so easily led and gullible! Just because someone said something thousands of years ago as their attempt to explain something they didn't know doesn't make it true! And what makes *your* God the real, one true God? Is the Christian God the real God? Or is the Muslim God the real God? What about the Jewish God? The Buddhist God? The many Viking Gods? They can't all be the one true God, yet they all claim to be - so someone is lying... But not *your* God. *Your* God is the one true God. You're so lucky that you believe in the one true God. (I'm using "your" for all of you deluded fools, not just Rab").
