No, he's usually overcompensating cause hes bad at interviews. Or so he thinks, which is why he is over the top nice to the guest telling them, _they_ love them so much and you know the "fake laugh". He's filling time. Beautiful thing here is, Ricky doesnt let him. He's topping Jimmy, so Jimmy doesnt feel awkward asking stupid/rehearsed questions. Jimmy should do skits and other comedy stuff at which he is good at.

Jimmy's face when Ricky drops the f-bomb. We non-Americans will never, ever understand why US _late night_ television has to be censored for language. I remember watching an episode of Jimmy Kimmel's _late night_ show where a wee kid spelled-out a swear word. It went as follows: "S-h-i-BLEEEEEP". Wtf...?? Surely such needless censorship is more offensive to an audience of adults than a 'bad word' not even being said?? I know most of you must find it utterly ridiculous and patronising. You have my sympathies. To any Americans here who _are_ offended by swear words being spelled - never ever come to Europe. Your heads will explode.

RIght.. but let's take UK citizens/people/kids and adults and compare their manners, personality, etc to Americans and what do you get? Basically the result is 100% proof that Britain's allowance of 'adult' language after 9pm on any channel has ZERO negative effect compared to the US's censorship. You see when things are taken away, prohibited, made illegal, whatever.. people become curious about them... people want to do them MORE (esp. kids) .. it creates a problem .. it doesn't prevent it. We have attempted, in vain, to shelter basically every generation thus far in America.

This was the closest to a Johnny Carson interview Jimmy will ever get and it wasn’t by his choice. Ricky is the genuine article. I miss the days when you actually got to understand who the celebrities were by actually listening to them talk. Everything now is so overwhelmingly rehearsed or scripted. This was actually quite refreshing to watch.

It's a way you know top successful storytellers/comedians. I remember Rowan Atkinson just standing in front of a crowd once and before he started his performance or spoke a word, the crowd had already started laughing. I think that's the peak of comedic success.

Gman Man I think its more of a running gag from the early days, or maybe they feel bad for the censor guy who has to hear it. Personally, I think swearing is ugly and only spreads negativity.

Gman Man it's not really them, but the network owners... I'm sure if it slips they(the talk show host) may get in trouble, or some sort of fine. Most of the network owners want to keep their night shows "family friendly," slightly better views that way

I bet Ricky would LOVE to be lean, ripped and getting tons of hot female attention like Brad Pitt or Christian Bale, but the fish 'n chips, and pizza, and Yorkshire puddings are just too delicious for him to give up. Also, he seems to be genetically prone to gaining weight easily, and has a slow metabolism, unlike a lucky fucker like Brad Pitt with a gifted racecar metabolism. Some folks are just lucky and some just ain't.
