Tania Ohman My bottle of Easy Flow was chunky just like Floetrol no matter how much it's shaken. Got into the habit of running pouring mediums through a strainer real quick before every pour. Saves a heck of a lot of trouble later.

I found a long, stringy chunk in one of my recent bottles, but have found fewer in Easy Flow than floetrol.

Tic Toc, yes straining is a good way to deal with the chunks.

Great! Really like the swipe. Thank you for showing painting on a swipe/pour. I have the Nova pouring medium...do you like the "new" pouring medium over the Nova Color? Or the price ? I will go back to early videos for the ratios you used with the Nova. I have it, so I am going to use it...and hoping for good results.

Monica Eggleton you will get good results with Novaplex: I do one part paint, three parts pouring medium, a few drops of water and a few drops of silicone. I do the same ratios with Easy Flow.

Is the Novaplex the 233? The 235 seems like a thinner fluid. it says "skim milk" I guess they changed the composition, because the one you used before was just Novaplex pouring Medium, no?

I am still curious as to why you changed from Novaplex to Easy Flow. Can you share your pros and cons of each? While I get great cells with Floetrol, I like that Pouring Medium retains the sheen. Novaplex was the same as Liquitex Pouring medium, which I think it is best, but less $$$

Lidia Kenig Scher I like trying different things and when I experimented with Easy Flow, I got great cells. Novaplex is still a great pouring medium and yes it dries with more sheen. I do a final glossy clear coat with minwax polycrylic so the lack of shine from Easy Flow doesn't matter.

do you use heavy paint or liquid ? is it the same recipe for liquid and heavy paint. Thanks

Not sure what the problem is with my Easy Flow - but, have not been able to create any cells, and finding hardened long clumps in my pouring medium.

be sure and add a few drops of water to your paint/pouring medium mixture. Also try a few drops of silicone if you haven't already.

Have used your recipe - always. But, maybe this is a bad batch of Owatrol - it is very clumpy and has long string-like clumps coming out of the bottle when I am pouring it to use.
