Thank you for the very useful video. But 6w is optical power right? I am very confused when see many manufacturers advertising 20 40 80w but the price is cheap. Does cutting 300gsm paper cause burned edges? and what speed do you think is appropriate?

6w is the optical output of the laser. Sadly some will mention the input wattage from the power supply but that is not a good indicator of the output power of the laser. I have played with some card stock in the past and you will have some slight charring on the very edges. I don't have a recommendation on speeds as it's been a while since I was testing paper for cutting.

I see Ilkone or someone like them is offering a 70w. Is it too much for most uses?

If you want raw cutting power the 70w will help. I've not been able to test one yet so I can't speak to how well they perform or how much detail they might loose with the higher wattage beam. If you are wanting high quality engravings, it's hard to beat a smaller unit like these with a single diode emitter creating a very small focus point.
