Hi Peggy, I too missed the live event but I enjoyed it and learned a bit which is important! I will be looking for your video on finishing the bowl so thanks for now and see you at the next video! I'm not sure, I don't think I have any of the packaging left. I use to find it at Home Depot, but they discontinued it. Once is a while it's on Amazon, but you can tell it's being sold by an individual (not Amazon) because the cost is $22 for 4 strips of it!

Peggy, IMO you bit off more than could be chewed during the allotted hour. One of your strengths (the no-color-allowed-crowd aside) is in adding color to your work. TBH, real time turning is noisy and rather boring (unless the blank flies off the lathe in which case it gets briefly more interesting 😃). Your time would have been better spent starting with the bowl pre-turned...then you could have concentrated on your skills/techniques in color application and the finishing there of. There’s a boat load of information there from surface prep, to dyes/stains you choose to use and why, to application techniques to polishing/buffing to the finishes you use...I would have been very interested in that.
