Also keep in mind that she still hits enemies that are dead in her ultimate. Damage will change based on the situation! -Her Light Cone is mostly strong due to its ability to get you an extra ultimate or two in a run of MoC. The stats on it are HUGE for Acheron but the extra ult makes a CRAZY amount of difference. -trotter blessing increases her damage -There will be a guide with fully researched and tested info for builds, teams, light cones, and more, this was a one-take due to limited time as a result of traveling, and thus a first impressions video! -Watermark is required to use the server -Stay golden, ponyboy

It is pretty nice, but I think you can specify that you need to unlock the last ability in the ability tree for that to happen, so hopefully newer players won’t be discouraged if they try to pull for her for that reason only to realize they haven’t finished the ability tree

Jokes aside, the most free to play friendly lightcone for acheron is Kafka in a bath lc if you put Black Swan in her team for def shred and arcana (counts as wind shear) but you can also put kafka or sampo on her team but I guess the damage output is not as high as using Black Swan

nope, That's only the case for regular SU. The ability tree for GnG and SD doesn't give access to items. But overall, i'd say it's not a big problem. With a bit of luck, you can fin tech pts canister often enough, just like with Ruan Mei (which also have a technique that basically end combat immediately in SU) @@Vortex-_-nq6dv

You know what I like most about this? It means that after all of the "you know who" drama about blacklisting and all that, Hoyo gave you access to their early test server. Big W, we absolutely love to see it. You're my favorite HSR CC so I'm very happy to see Hoyo be behind you.

I'm planning on maining Acheron, her design for me has been the most interesting out of pretty much all Hoyo games. Definitely getting her plus LC, and I'll do what I can to get extra eidolons while she's available but it'll be super hard to convince me to pull for anyone but her in the future until she's E6.

Man, that's what making me take a step back with her; the fact that I desperately need another solo sustains support - so I plan to pull Aventrunine no question asked - and the fact that I usually don't go for LC as A F2P. But I do, funnily enough, just recently get GNSW at s5, and have been debating if it's better to wait for her rerun or just go for Jingliu.

@@CaptianMactavish Seems like Hoyo is doing these "early acess" as CC partnership program BUT the thing is the content creators are only allowed to talk and post what Miyoho allows them to. such as not allowed to say "certain character" is bad a e0s0. These videos need to be passed through a verification process to please miyoho and only use footage they are allowed to Short terms: Or the Content Creator says what we want or we can terminate their channel.

I think Acheron's kit looks very interesting and I'm tempted to go down the alternate Nihility route she's heavily incentivizing. At the same time, I don't have a single good light cone for her and am way too broke to consider her signature. Likely gonna go for Jingliu instead. Perhaps on a future rerun I can get Acheron.

I got into a debate with a friend earlier about the LC banner vs weapon banner in Genshin and their claim was that the LC is necessary for DPS in HSR and I defended that it wasn't with them being mostly stat sticks and offering extra damage. It would appear that the Acheron LC puts a dent in that defense, the difference seems absurdly night and day with and without the LC and the ult gain is massive.

The difference is about 31% compared to Good Night, Sleep Well S5 which is actually absurd. Her best “F2P” option (which is also not relatable because it’s complete luck) is so much worse than her S1 that it’s laughable to me.

Nothing against Brax but i wouldn't say this is "realistic" considering it's a E0S1 Sparkle, a much more realistic showcase would've been with double nihility which is what most people are gonna run anyway. Also, it took exactly the same amount of cycles to clear between S1 and GNSW. I don't see how is her lightcone so important when it didn't even cut a cycle from clearing MoC 12. Be careful when pulling for a lightcone just because of damage per screenshot, i feel like people might get baited into pulling for it just because of that when it actually didn't really make much of a difference in clear times

My Welt was my first carry so he's build for damage, but he does manage to apply debuffs consistently. I'm going to play her with a sustain and Welt+Pela/Gui and I think it's going to work well.

It's pretty much given that she would have those in the future. Example is: Welt. Basically a slow debuffer. Pela. AOE def shredder. Silverwolf. Single Target Debuffer. She already have them the problem is fitting in a sustain. and for reference you can just swap with Silverwolf and Sparkle. SW is great at single target mobs , Sparkle is good with her for clearing mobs. cuz it's faster to stack with Silverwolf.

Jiaoqiu will probably end up being her best partner. Inflicts defense shred and a lot of out of turn debuffs

This probably means I am going to skip her. I want Adventurine too and I dropped a decent amount already with Black Swan and Sparkle. So at this point, if Acheron needs a LC for a lot of her damage, then that's too much of a commit for my current amount of pulls available. Sucks because she looks cool, but also makes sense. I didn't think that much about her path relating to her LC until now. But it makes sense. Even if you tried to make up for it with Pearls of Gleaming sweat on her, its still not optimal since it doesn't benefit her except for when she ults right after... unless you have two, which I guess is fine, but still isn't optimal.

I too am skipping for either Aventurine or Jingliu. Especially as Jingliu doesn’t require too much investment compared to Acheron.

Early access! Cool! I literally depend on you for Star Rail guides so this is really nice! This gave me a better understanding of Acheron's kit, so thanks! I never pulled for weapons on Genshin due to being mostly f2p, and went for more characters instead, but with Acheron I do want to try and get it on the rerun.

Me neither, sparkle's banner was the first time I pulled on a weapon banner and I won,the only reason I even did was because her LC helps her so much compared to the others in game,I really don't want to test my luck anymore because I'm saving rn Acheron is another one of those cases where she needs her sig LC to do the most and the other light cones don't even compare, I'd be a waste to not get hers considering she needs it I wish you good luck,an hopefully you'll get her LC on her rerun :)

I gotta say, I'm super tempted. I'm really curious about Sam, but the drip for 2.2 didn't include him, so who knows when he'll ever come. I'm definitely pulling for Luocha now too, and I have very few pulls + still at the 50/50. Though I could guarantee Luocha in a worst case scenario, I have no means of making sure I'd get Acheron - much less her S1 as well. I like her enough to consider having her and DHIL be my two main DPS for each team side of MoC, and Acheron could also take on one side of PF while Himeko+Herta deal with the other. Being a relatively new player is hard! So many cool options...

Same,bailu is the only healer I have besides lynx but let's be honest everyone needs either a luocha or a huohuo in their roster I couldn't get luocha on his first banner because I ran out of pulls,now that he's back I really want to get him aside from Gallagher but I'm still saving for Sam and boothill I don't have a lot saved due to the fact that I got sparkle and her LC which I got extremely lucky with and won both.Thinking I'm just not going to pull because boothill is right around the corner and I won't have anything :/ and I get Gallagher from the event anyways but i really do want his e2 because I heard it allows him to cleanse

Trust me if you’re a new player? I’d say skip acheron right now and pick up jingliu if you want a dps, acheron is not a very new player friendly character at all (and if you want to do pure fiction herta and himeko can carry so don’t worry about that)

I will try luocha too, not having an effect cleaner prevert me from doing moc 12, I'm using linx but she is too sp hungry for little return.

@@VitorAntas you don’t need to worry about another dps for pure fiction much cuz the way pure fiction works himeko and herta can get a ton of points on one side and the other side doesn’t need to do much but if you really want a dps from another path then i guess you’ll have to wait cuz the most busted dps in the game rn is destruction (you can use ratio since he’s really strong and free as well and aventurine work well with him)

I've been thinking of going for Acheron, but this video has convinced me to stick with Jingliu for now. Mainly because my account isn't really built around Nihility and I'm not struggling with my current dps characters.

Alot of her dmg is a bit inflated due to the hits during the ult counting hits on dead enemies and enemies not getting removed after they die during her ult

It works exactly the same as if the enemies were alive so the DMG potential is actually more accurate. When you calc a characters damage, you don't stop because the enemy died. You want to know how much they can hit for.

I am happy for you Brax, you deserve the recognition but ngl I have mixed feelings about this creator program.

I love watching Acheron videos to hype myself up before pulling her and her Lightcone once her banner finally drops

The difference between her SIG LC and GNSW is insane lol, and she seems to be very similar to Jingyuan’s Lightning Lord for the fact that she can only ult roughly a single time per cycle. And i realized that she overkills Yanqing’s swords, so the damage may seems a bit bloated. She…is very similar to how Eula is in Genshin.

This reminds me of when I was looking at the Raiden banner c2 and r1 in Genshin. It scares me how strong Acheron e2 and s1 are.

Engulfing Lightning was never a must-pull for Raiden though, she had numerous good options including Catch which was a 100% guaranteed R5 free weapon. Her C2 was the big one if you wanted to whale. Acheron's signature LC situation though is totally different.

Yea this sold me, hoyo needs to let people do more of these! The fact that you have decently achievable relics and the light cone difference makes this a solid af showcase. Hopefully you keep some “suboptimal” relics to be able to show the low spender/f2p perspective like this

One fun fact about acheron's kit Most people say it is "restrictive" which is true , but acheron does open up NEW teams of nihility DEBUFFERS and NOT DoT or DPS Thus, the triple threat harmony supports can be used for ur OTHER team in MOC since Acheron doesnt need them Edit 1 : I have made a severe discussion occur when i was just trying to give light to why acheron is a good pick Edit 2 : for more BIASED view , Acheron is a Raiden Mei expy , since Raiden Mei is a staple character in honkai games , it is VERY UNLIKELY for acheron to be "powercrept" much Edit 3 : Pov , u started a war for DHIL lightcone when talking about acheron Edit 4 : BRO yes i know sooner or later she will be powercrept bit by bit but the likelihood of her being POWERCREPT HARD ANYTIME SOON IS VERY LOW DUE TO THE NATURE OF HER KIT AND HER BEING RAIDEN MEI EXPY Edit 5 : it also seems as though Seele and Acheron may sooner or later have some sort of acheron as well due to -acheron having two forms like seele -seele's weapon in HI3 has acheron's name in it -AND BELOBOG HAS ANOTHER ARC LESGO BABY SEELE X ACHERON WOOHOOO

She can 0 cycle with E0. The fact however still remains: 40% of her damage (in a best case scenario mind you) is locked behind another gacha. I believe that’s why people are saying she feels bad.

​​​@@lismarino her lightcone is only 32% dps increase. So you know DHIL lightcone is 36~38% dps increase and Jingliu one is 28~32% dps increase depending of the harmonie you use. Acheron have the exact same boost of damage between GNSW and her sig as DHIL and JL. So by your logic cause its also apply to Jing yuan and Kafka those 4 characters are also unplayable without their lightcone or just also do bad damage ?

Mei fan here. She's probably the only character I will ever E6S1 in this game. I really hope you'll be thorough with her guide next week, I have some doubts in terms of relic builds because things might change on her when she hits E6. Looking forward to it!

I already planned on getting the LC anyway, aiming for E2S1, but I would like to see Acheron with Bronya & how they work together. My reasoning is I skipped Sparkle to save up for Acheron.

im curious can acheron run with ruan mei or bronya, because there are some players who have skipped sparkle for her and dont have her.

If you run Ruan Mei at E0, you might want to run Welt/Pela. Otherwise, E2.

If you dont pull for E2, you shouldn't run her with any harmony at all, not running her with 2 other Nihility characters is big damage loss.

​​@@Torguemadaactually, apparently with Harmony the damage difference between 2 other nihil than 1 isn't that much, so if you don't have many Nihil available 1 nihil 1 harmony is good enough. Obviously with E2 it's better but you know, that a lot to ask of someone.

Thanks for pointing out the possibility of Sparkle subbing in for one nihility and providing enough benefits to counter the loss of the 45% multiplicative damage buff that the second nihility provides (plus the utility that character brings). I’m guessing this is even more reason to pull for S1, as if she’s just on GNSW, she’s only getting one stack per 2 character turns (Sparkle pulls up Acheron for 1 turn, and Acheron skills for 1 turn, giving only one stack with GNSW).

Nope. That's false. It's not only 45% multiplier for 1 extra Nihility. It's sooooo much more, no harmony character can match it, not even Sparkle. This is misleading. You are more likely running it for fun or going to E2 her.

If you use the light cone “ Trend of the universal market” for preservation characters, the enemy gets debug every time they attack that character. Higher frequency to use the ult.

They definitely create the character and then separate the kits into her and the light cone making it a must to get E0S1

the beta testers released the damage numbers. And her damage with 2 nihility is almost 60% more than with sparkle. Brax made this video in collab with hoyo, and hoyo wants people to pull for sparkle before her banner ends. You can run her with sparkle at e2 tho

@@danendrapranaja8651 My E0S1 Sparkle is also ready but still debating between running 2 Nihility (Both Pela & Silverwolf at 160 SPD) or just Sparkle and Silverwolf. I'll probably test them on MoC 12 once Acheron is out (especially since I'm guaranteed). As for Jingliu, I got her E0 in her first banner and basically carried me in all the MoCs that came out after her. I swap between Dr. Ratio and Jingliu depending on the boss weaknesses and mechanics. I'm planning to get her own LC since I lost her LC to Himeko LC.

@@phxgamingxd-hatdogedition1157Yeah, her multipliers increase by 160% if you have 2 Nihility units paired with her, Sparkle is a good buffer but she’s not suited for this team comp unless you have Acheron at E2 or you’re running a risky 0 sustain team.

I wonder if Brain in a Vat stacks in Erudition path would work on her. I'm pretty sure Auspicious Star is out since it's energy based
