I just find it already pretty easy to survive with just fire mc, march, or even no sustain. So id rather clear the content faster and bigger number as that's actually relaxing and fun to me lol. But to each their own I dont try to police others definition of fun some ppl just like the story and animations and character design, I like strategy and gameplay.

These Meta Slaves call every single character just 'Bad' even while they are just below S+ tier units. And I hate it because it is seen every single game.

So dont listen to them? minmaxers are a different breed, they always were. In the end pretty much every character will work if you invest in them as much as they invest. But being non minmaxer do you actually care if you finish memory12 or something like it in a single turn or it would take lets say 3-5 turns and you still gonna get 3*? Its like speed runners, they finish Witcher 3 in 1.5 hours, I spend almost 200 during my first time, why should I care about them? As long as we both having fun its good.

The shield IMO is not that strong but the fact he can reset the shield without using SP is nice to have, but he and his teammates need to get hit in order to do that and any enemies that deals AoE damage can actually help build his stack quite fast, but not the single target one. Well, we'll see how good he is in the future

he's my main team's healer for walking around. him and my three ladies ruan mei, kafka and black swan. if anything hits one of them he fixes them up right away and then they just destroy things.

Luocha’s real utility shines when using a character like DHIL and QQ, he can easily sustain a team without using any skills.

QQ would ideally want FX for mono quantum, and DHIL doesn't really care because sparkle now exists

Along with the comfort Luocha provides, I feel like you also need to look at potential for future metas, not just the 'now'. At one point in time, output healers were considered bad in Genshin too. Then Hoyo started adding mechanics that brought healers into the meta, and some of them are among the best units in the game now. Just because Luocha overheals a lot doesn’t mean that won’t be super valuable one day. Could be enemy abilities, could be relic sets, could be synergies with future characters. Dismissing Luocha's future potential is a mistake imo. He's an excellent character

I agree to some degree. The unique benefits of Luocha over others are 0 sp and aoe dispel. The 0 sp isn't as valuable after Hanabi was introduced. In addition, there isn't buff on enemies that is strong enough that require dispel. I won't consider his overheal as an advantage compared to other healers because they can easily heal more when both using sp.

Hoyo may never add anything to Star Rail that makes throughput healing meta, but it’s food for thought at least. In the end, all that really matters is playing the characters you enjoy

Question. He gets 70% resistance to CC at A6, right? So, is running his lightcone (the 4* one that gives a sh8 ton of eff res and converts eff res to extra healing) good or because of that res to CC it becomes negligible and just running Multiplication is better as an SP generator?

The dispel is also a huge convenience on the arbor enemies- the lifesteal and revival mechanics are buffs, so Loucha makes the mooks stay dead when you kill them the first time and stops the commander from recovering all the damage he's taken the moment his turn comes up.

I just pulled luocha by accident while I was trying to get Gallagher eidolons and man, he really does deserve way more love. He's barely even half built on my account, cobbled together with a bunch of leftover relics I had lying around (none of which being at max level) and sporting a level 60 S2 perfect timing and he already overcap heals everyone I've got while also being tanky af. Quite possibly one of the most casual, f2p-friendly units in the game

He's still really good, the whole arguement against Luocha is for new players or players that dont have 2 5* Sustains.

I do wanna say that HuoHuo's biggest downside is on demand/emergency heals. If someone on your team takes a massive hit and is down in the hundreds for health, better pray you get some ults up or that low character doesn't get attacked because she really can't do much outside her turn. She's still absolutely an S tier because of everything else she does, but as someone who's been using her as my primary sustain since she released, it's worth noting Edit: also with the story we get a preview of Aventurine and while we can't see his build, yeah he's strong and you pretty much don't have to worry about damage, easy S tier

Luocha's first banner is when I lost the 50/50. Since then have been waiting for his rerun. And now, I got him today. It took me about half an hour to build Luocha to solo sustain MOC 12. And it was the most comfortable MOC run ever. Trust me, pulling Otto is a great descision.

I know it is a good decision but for me, you can't take damage if there aren't enemies left to deal it(proceeds to get one shot cause a lvl 70 barely built Lynx can not solo sustain in MOC).

Anyone that calls luocha bad is on something he is by no means bad, the only thing is that like as a limited 5 star in comparison to the other sustains he falls behind in the sense that he does nth else but sustain while the rest do things like energy, damage, crit rate/damage buffing etc so he feels a little more empty than them.

that fight literally went from the hardest fight in the game for me with Natasha, to giving in and pulling luocha and beating it easily first try with him barely built :,)

Luocha does everything in his job description. If what your looking for is SUSTAIN he is amazing

People probably aren't thinking about his positives properly. He's an anti-mechanic unit that also allows your teams to use skills more, which results in some positive utility that won't show up on a spreadsheet.

I really like how you approached fire trailblazer Brax! I am on that same boat of nowadays using Stelle again since I clear content quite fast and an occasional taunt or her mini aoe shield is all I need, with just her enhanced autos and ultimate I can break weakness bar way faster and that helps out a ton

Idk how feasible it would be, but please make more of these role specific tier lists! Rating all the characters in the game together is frankly just a bit confusing, and having tier lists that are separated by what the character wants to do just gives us (and tbh, probably the creator as well once you put the characters into perspective) a much better insight into how the characters stack up. Very dope video brax!

E1 Luocha gives a teamwide Attack Buff. I've been using him a lot so I pulled for his E1 and it's nice. Especially with Imbibitor since Luocha doesn't soak SP.

He was basing these off of E0. He said it at the start. If we were talking about Eidolons, we would have to talk about their availability as well, which would automatically bump some of the 4 stars up by a bit, and would definitely bump FMC up as well, since they are the most available sustain unit in the game. But the 5 stars would get a downgrade, since the majority of them have really strong Eidolons, but their availability is practically non existent.

Hi Brax, I use solo sustain March in my Clara team and my Arlan team! The best part about her is that her shields are the longest lasting in the game at 4 turns! Clara March Topaz Ruan Mei is my whole team and March has synergy with everyone. Ruan Mei makes March’s AoE ice breaks do crazy damage, and March’s follow up attacks advance Numby forward more often than you think (especially when it’s a single target situation). Just wanted to vouch for my girl🤩

I wouldn't say Luocha is bad, but rather that his unique features are not capitalized on. His unique thing is not only that he does a bunch of healing, its that he does a bunch of small heals really quickly. Anything that cares about individual instances of healing would love Luocha, but nothing outside of Dimulated Universe does. But if we do get a decent relic set, light cone, or character that ramps offense in relation to heal frequency, I'd image people will start viewing Luocha in a more favorable light.

Luocha is still one of the Best sustainers/Healers in the game

​@@jcobo96I don't think powercreep is a thing for abundance I mean Luocha is basically a unit that is a big help to a speedy comp. As long as luocha is slow and your other 3 units are fast. You can maximize his Garden Passive to its best ability. He may have no att buff but his heals and sustainability is out of charts as well.

There's situations and teams where everyone do better than others. Except Natasha sadly, i think lynx did basically power crept her, and she's free now as well, so only situation where you'd use Natasha, is if you only have lynx and Natasha, and you're clearing MoC.

yeah ngl lynx was sort of the nail in the coffin for natasha and then Lynx's eidolons are also better.

luocha really reminds me of sparkle in that he is great at enabling teams just from being sp positive & allows for healing + atk buffs with his field i think also that a lot of people don't think abt his buff removal (that one vtuber you streamed with LOL) which is so handy honestly his ult is useful for toughness break as well

Considering I'm passing getting a Loucha again, I'm glad you kinda talked me down, I already have huohuo, and I actually planned on holding on for Aventurine, sooooo, I think I can live with myself

I'm sort of out of conundrum because when I started playing I pulled for DHIL as he was on the banner and I wanted him. And at that time Luocha and Huohuo were the best sustainers in the game so I had missed out on both and I had to wait for either rerun on banner, so I was saving for him. Then here comes Adventurine and people are telling me Adventurine is supposed to be better don't pull for Luocha, so I'm glad you made this video Brax I started not to pull form but now I think I am and I'm going to skip Adventurine

Finally. someone that doesn't downgrade luocha based on his "pull value". Thank u brax for not turning on him like the rest of the community.

​@@nightmarewolf1710Against the meme, probably not. There are times where the first hit drops to 60%, then the next hit does 70%. Luocha can't do anything there. There's also the soda monkey that one shots one person unless you have shields.

I pulled luocha on his release, still my fav character on my acc until now.

One more thing to add to Aventurine based on the perspective quest that lets us play as him his follow up attacks grant additional shield meaning if you have the right team comp and have characters like Topaz, Himiko, Dr Ratio, Herta, etc. then he can have full uptime on his shields meaning your team will hardly be taking damage.

Ive had Luocha since his first banner and he single handedly carried my account, i stopped playing for a while and missed a lot of good unit and didnt keep building my characters so when i came back i was really struggling but Luocha has just made everything so much easier for me 🙏 theyll never make me dislike you king 😤

I personally use March as my sustain in DOT team, i use Kafka, Black swan, Asta/Ruan Mei and March, been clearing MoC12 no problem

that last part is why im suscribed to this channel LMAO

I think it's also worth noting that he works particularly well with follow up attack units, especially counter units like Clara and even March. It is insanely useful for bosses who are very fast and have multi hits like Kafka and even Sam because it means that every FUA heals out of turn. Clara for instance heals the entire team every time she counters. This synergy has bailed me out of so many fights. Like Destruction Trotter. :)

As someone with E1S0 Luocha (since his first banner) and E0S1 huohuo, i'd say both are around the same value as e/o (E1 luocha buffs ATK by 20% w his field, S1 huohuo lc is more buffs). His E1 came early so i didnt try him at E0 so im very luocha biased lol. Also he's an Otto AU so mwah 💗 If both are at E0S0, their edge over eo is basically Luocha - emergency healing, aoe removal of enemy buff; Huohuo - cleanse, team ER. Both very solid units imo. Also for Aventurine, based on the recent trailblaze quest chara trial, his follow up is such a treat when teamed w Acheron, he feels SP positive, and shields almost 100% uptime :3 If you read thru all that, thank you and I wish you the best and early 5* wins! 💗

Luocha is the only sustainer i pulled and i got no problem to clear everything, beside him before the actual update i only used Natasha and March7th, so i really do believe people don't even retry when they lose on something. But for me i got an upgrade this patch, i finally got a Bailu (i will up her soon) and Gallagher E4 I already full lvl up Gallagher and he feel like an under Luocha, just because his heals are not AoE but he carried me the last MoC with Acheron without any try again to get all the stars sooo i found him pretty op, my characters were pratically always full hp, do not trust people saying he get energy issues, it's not true, i got hs ult every 1turn and half or max 2 turns and his ult duration is 2 turns, and i didn't even run him with an energy rope, i built him full break effect, with an increased heal effect chest.

Pulled on his rerun amd he is very good not regreted

for people who just wanna play the game casually, on auto, or just farm some content, he’s just great. and if you’re lucky enough to have him at E1, he gives your whole team an attack buff, but i know this tier list doesn’t include eidolons. but he’s still a great character

How in the HELL is Luocha REMOTELY bad?? even in comparison to the other healers, if I had to choose one, it's him for sure! I don't see a single other Abundance unit that I'd use instead of him

Huohuo is straight up better. Doesn't mean luocha is bad, but he isn't the best abundance at all

I do not regret pulling for his E1 (will go for E6 in the future)

Aventurine also restacks his shield every fua he does and he increases entire team effect by 50% flat and his ult buff crit dmg 👍

I pulled for Luocha because he's a fencer and I've always liked that as a fighting archetype. The fact that he is a really viable flexible healer is great.

I love using March E6, especially with Clara in a follow-Up attack team

Luocha is the pull I've been most happy with. He is just so easy to use and makes all content a non-issue.

idk about other units but having a dispel hitting all enemies every 2-3 turns on top of zero sp heals is nice (well depending on wc enemies of course, the lack of removable buffs kinda defeats the point)

That reference to Zhongli is spot on. And I am agreeing with every spot on that tier list, which is pretty rare, well done!

I had Bailu and Lynx, couldn't clear past MoC level 5. Pulled Luocha and Acheron, now I jumped up MoC levels by just switching my Ratio relics onto Acheron and using all the DPS healer pieces I've been saving forever and slamming them onto Luocha.

i did a 10 roll on luochas banner to try and get a single gallagher (0 pity and 50/50) bc i thought "i plan on getting jingliu so luochas technically better of an accidental 5 star than acheron" and i ended up getting him on accident 😭 his auto healing with cleanse has been soooo nice though, clara chews through enemies while healing a shit ton in his field

All things aside, do we think Aventurine is going to actually make Yanqing more valuable and rescue him from the bottom of the 5* rankings? He's not going to the top but with a shielder that shields that easily, Yanqing seems more reliable as a unit. He'll be good... as long you don't have Ratio, Jingliu, DHIL or Acheron, I guess. And seeing how you have to login during the time Ratio is free to get Aventurine...

I also think what makes Luocha still a good pick is just because the fact he is super flexible in almost any team if say you don’t have a true reliable sustainer outside of Luocha. Especially considering the late game where enemies have a lot of different buffs they provide to themselves, he can remove that and while it’s not majorly crazy, it helps a lot to mitigate what the enemies do to you. As a day 1 Luocha user (because he’s the character I have ran with the longest), he’s absolutely carried the hell out of every single content in the game and for good reason.

march is great in PF too! I like running her with Himeko since her FuA can help with weakness breaking.

Hoyoverse based for giving us a free Aventurine test trial in the story during his segments and for as long as those segments last. He slid very well into the Clara team I already had.

Your Clara team? That doesn’t make any sense. Preservation units have a higher innate taunt value compared to other paths so Clara will naturally get far less value since the chances of her getting hit diminish with a preservation sustain on your team.

@@Kurppalumppu My Clara team already has a shield character by default, March 7th, and it works really well. Aventurine just did March's job but better bcs he can protect the entire team. Clara still got taunted the most so 🙌🙌

He’s not bad at all. One person will say something and people will follow. Just like when people were lying and saying Acheron is bad without p2w investment.

As someone who prioritizes sustainers and healers as characters to get. It's nice to have videos like these to see where they all stand after updates cause everyone has different opinions.

Pulled Loucha at 22 pity on a 50/50. I love him, he helped me through all the content I was stuck on because I did not have a proper healer. Also, idc what anyone says, HSR is a Husbando Collecting Simulator to me.

Btw, Luocha pretty much the only fully sp positive healer
