Hi changed the hinges. Left lower hinge nuts broke, so I epoxied it. Now it won't sit flush L, and shutting all the way it makes a snapping noise. Epoxy holds good.

@@rickstechrepairs could not get it to close well. Ok.. took me a while to figure out I put too much epoxy so no room for the cord. I applied a drill and carefully worked it like a Dremel tool, removing excess epoxy. Now frame sits flush to lid. New hinges have a crisp snap at the almost closed position. That is normal, to hold it closed. 🙌 Thanks for your graphics.
In hindsight I wish I left the Wi-Fi connectors in place. Not sure why they had to be disconnected. Now one can’t connect smh
This is a live saving informative video🙏 I would probably be too scared to take off the camera and took the laptop to a servis for some insane money😂

They are both wifi
What is the White cable at 4:28 ?

That is a Wifi antenna cable, same with the black one near it

possibly damaged the pcb when removing it from the old screen
This video is garbage. I followed it and now my laptop won't even turn on. As someone else posted, I also can't reconnect my wifi connectors, I'm not sure why they had to be disconnected. I also can't believe that almost 11 minutes into the video, there is a message that you lost the footage of putting the LCD trim on. How about you redo the footage, or if not, then how about you don't post the video. While researching if there was any way to fix my laptop not turning on as a result of following this "tutorial", I saw that the connector to the battery power should have been disconnected prior to disconnecting the video connector. You should also recommend taking antistatic precautions. You really should take down this video, or have a warning that if you follow all the steps of the video, you have a good chance of not being able to reconnect the wifi wires, and also a good chance of your computer no longer working.
