Because the speaker on your phone has magnet so does your laptop screen when when you close it. Magnet causes the sensor to turn off your screen when closed.

i bought it and the prob is that keyboard is difficult to see without lights turned on we can adjust with ineditibility of keyboard lights

If it does not work try updating your bios or windows driver. Keep in mind if you update your bios past 1.22 the backlight turns off when plugged in after a period of non-use

That’s not dangerous bruh that’s just magnetic connection it’s like closing the lid.

I think it turns off because that could be a part of the computer that reacts bad to magnetisim so I wouldn’t recommend putting a phone one your laptop it’s not a charger

I know the cooling fans are on single side then the games must not be played for a long time as it will take a long time to cool down the temperature of the system and if you are not satisfied with the cooling system then use it for official work.

no 5 problem is, there is a tiny magnet in that particular place that connects with the screen magnet when the display is closed thus put the laptop in sleep mode, its just a design flow

If you press FN and F4 And F5 on mine and it changes keyboard backlit which is nice i have no problems with it idk whats so wrong about it for you

the screen blacks out when your phone goes on a specific part because there is a magnet that is in the phone and laptop causing the screen to black out

he was triggering it as there is a proximity sensor inside of it that was conflicting towards his phones.. also you really shouldn't be putting magnet on top of magnet..

I have a problem with my Acer nitro 5 i.e. when I close the lid it won't go to sleep mode and the screen won't turn off. I checked the power settings also, but it didn't resolve. so please help me to get out of this problem

Great video, please try to test some games like Fifa 18, NFS payback and PUBG. And this time please show the cpu,gpu temperatures and fps of the games with anti-aliasing turned off.

How is battery life?

You must not be plugged into the charger to get those temps and the MHz speed, I have the nitro 5 i8300h and the gtx 1050ti and plugged in would be at 97c on the cpu almost immediately and the MHz would be at 3900mhz. Not on charger would get the same speed MHz and approx. the same temp.

the screen turns off due to the magnet present in your mobile phone vibrator. Place it near the Power Button your computer will be put into hibernate or Sleep mode.

if ur planning to buy this i have a 1year and 1months but i have a hinge problem i hate this since i dont use it daily I am careful too soo i have no idea why this still happened to me..... hate that my warranty is one year so its not covered. sucks i know ....... everything else is good if you ask me..... ssd is a must......

Adnan Amir Was you can either go into Acer fan settings and lower the fan speed. (Can decrease performance) if you don’t want any performance/heat issue then I recommend you just pick up some noise canceling headphones.

That's what backlit keyboards do.... And if you're buying a laptop with one I think there should be any problem just sayin....

Still running after 4 years or you have purchased new one! I am planning to buy!

I just bought this laptop in February, The only problem I got just 3 months was the GPU fan. I heard a grinding sound and the fan was struggling. Brought it to the repair shop where I bought it and they told me there was a lot of dust. it was cleaned and removed and I got it back Friday last week. Now yesterday I was using it and I heard the grinding sound again and this time the fan was slowing. my nitro 5 has an i7 Gen 8 processor. Anyone else got this problem with cooling?

as i already discussed this laptop have poor cooling technology like the positions of fan and all. I would suggest you to purchase a separate cooling pad for your laptop. i'll be posting a review of the same very soon.

its because its heating up and thermal throttling you can use msi afterburner to check temperatures while gaming if they get near the 90s then the frame drops are surely due to heat i can tell you how to fix it but first you need to check the temperatures

Keep an eye out for cpu thermals.usually in nitro 5 they will creep up to 85-90°c.undervolt the cpu using xtu.

The overheating problem is more frequent with the i7/1050ti version. The i5 version is way cooler even during heavy tasks.
