Wanted to say thank you so much for your one small comment in your video. After watching other channels which advised me to replace my display cable (which I did) I watched your video and you said to re-seat the ram. I laughed out loud to be honest but went a got my sons laptop and used his ram in my laptop and would you believe it. Screen working fine.... SO THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!! ☺😀😀😀😁😁😁😁 Edit: then re-seated the original ram and it didn't work. However swapped them around and would you believe it, it boots and detects both ram modules. Bonkers! 😊 Thanks again.

Happy to see you back Sorin and recovered from your back pain. I've repaired with a same laptop last week with a water damaged issue, it was the i/o chip that was corroded and cleaning it and re-soldering the pins fixed the issue. But I had another issue after that, i removed the CMOS battery and reset all the system settings, laptop can detect the harddrive on bios setup but won't boot on harddrive and getting a no bootable drive found error. I've changed the hardrive configuration from UEFI to legacy and fixed the issue. Thank's to your videos and I've learned a lot. With all the knowledge that I've learned from you and with KZread University I have now my own repair shop. Thanks, more power to your channel and God bless to you!

Great video, the fact that you have to take something apart so far and flip a motherboard round to try a ram fix is certainly a design flaw with Acers model. How hard would it be just to create an access hatch on the underside with a single screw to get to it. :/ ... had read about corrupted bios causing this issue with these laptops but this fix gives a little bit of hope ..if not hopefully just a few quid in the swear jar taking the thing apart to reseat a stick of ram. fingers crossed and thanks again for great content

Hello Sorin, I need an advice for a similar laptop Acer E5-551. The charging light is on when I plug the charger cable. When I press the power button, the power led is on, fan is starting but just for 5 seconds and after that is stopping. The power led remains on but nothing on screen... I measured the bios battery and is 2.2v - 2.4v , I also took it out, wait for 20 minutes, put it back and still nothing. I also measured the voltage on the power button connector and is 3v, not 3v3. What do you think can be the problem? Thanks. !

No way! Tired everything including making BIOS update bootable USB drive trying to reanimate this E5-571G I was given, I never thought that it wouldn't even POST without any RAM installed! Popped back in some RAM and up it came! Thanks a million! Now off to grab a cheap SSD!

hello there, my screen was jumping and thought to unplug and plugback the cord to the screen, accidentally my laptop was turned on at that time and , while i was doing a little spark occurred, don't know why, now the screen is not at all working,its just like not being connected to the laptop, dead, what to do, is it the screen's problem or the cod. it was working but was only jumping, but if you press at the bottom of the screen jumping even would stop at that time, now even all is dead , Toshiba satellite c660D

Hey, my Aspire E5-571G-70W2 has still a black screen after i tried all of your advices. I tried also to do a BIOS hard reset by booting from my USB drive, but the BIOS won't start. Just the fan runs really loud. If I try to start the notebook without trying to go in the BIOS setup the fan runs for a really short period and then it runs off. Do you have any idea to fix this? Thanks a lot!

Help! if you can! Last year my laptop fell off and some parts included peaces that holds a screen are now broken E5 571. To make it work again ,can anyone confirm that I can buy laptop casing of either of V5 571 or F5 571 model and I could fit my hardware there? Is there as well a difference if I get a case from E5 575 or V5 575 or F5 575 models? I need to be sure before buying those spare repair casing. Is there anyone that can confirm that I could fit my MB from E5 571 to any of these? Thank you

hello, I have an Acer aspire e5-573g. Everything was normal until one day I tried to shut down the laptop using the keyboard power key. But that didnt work so i used the start up menu and shut it down from there. Ever since my laptop has been completely dead. I try to power on through the keyboard and it does nothing. The charger is working fine, when it is plugged in the red led indicator turns on. But the laptop power blue light doesnt come. I tried to do a hard reset by inserting a pin into the hole at the back of the laptop and the in the first attempt it didnt nothing. But i let it sit for an hour or so and in the retried and this time the laptop started. Also both the times i was holding the reset button for about 30 secs or more. However, with the laptop turned on i tried to run my normal applications and everything worked fine until i moved the laptop and and after few mins it went dead again and ever since then i have tried reseting multiple times, tried removing inside battery and ram and put it back in, tried to remove the static power as well but the laptop is just not responding. Only the charger indication works rest everything is absolutely dead. Please help me. thanks

Hello Sir, I was watching your videos and found this one about this two laptops, and then I remembered this Acer E 14 that came to my workplace some days ago. The laptop came working fine, and the customer left it to reinstall windows on it. So, to do that, I wanted to load an software-preloaded system image on its HDD, so I took out all the screws and removed the hard drive, connected to my PC and recovered all the personal info that my customer wanted to keep. When I finished loadong the system on it, I went to reinstall it on the laptop, closed it up, but when I tried to turn it back on, it wont do it. It gave me battery light on, and power on light also, but nothing more happened, no picture, no HDD light, no spinning fan... nothing more than power and battery lights, then i tried to remove and put back on theotherboard battery and didn’t work, tried to take out all remaining charge on the board(alongside with possible electrostatic charge), what is meant like “draining power” by pressing and holding power button, but again, nothing happens, also tried other RAM sticks... . What do you think it could be? I were looking on the internet and forums and everybody says that it is electrostatic charge, but I tried to fix that as I told you before and won’t work. Hope that you’ve seen this before or something like this, and see if can recommend me something more to do, and if not, at least discuss about the thing, What do you say?

I think you should have started by testing the laptop on an external monitor. If the external monitor works and shows the desktop, then it is not a RAM issue. Right?

dear Sir, i have same model, but in my case its BIOS issue, i updated with the latest BIOS from ACER site, after update my system was functioning after restart but it got BAD no display after system shutdown. plz help in this issue, i tried latest bios unzipped on flash drive then Fn + Esc key with power source plugged in with Power on Button, CPU fan started on high speed, reading from USB disk but now success at all with display. what to do now.

i think you have to keep pressed the 'b' or 'windows' button and power up the laptop in order to write the bios from a flash drive, but maybe i'm wrong

I have a Acer Aspire e15 and the screen is black it works with HDMI out to tv. I did a flashlight test (hold the flashlight close to the screen to see if you can see anything at all) I could see the screen very very faint; so I thought it was just the screen LEDs were burning out. So I replaced the screen and still have the same problem I can see it with a flashlight very very faint. I don't think it is the video card because it it fine with HDMI out. Do you have any suggestions?

U have to check with the VGA or HDMI with other monitor and easily u can get the solution for it.

can be a graphics issue

Maybe it was working but loose connection to monitor? U did unplug the monitor. So can be that to. Faulty memory should make beeps. My guess would be not all devices makes beeps.
