It works, but not as if it had 12gb ram.. they’ll both work with the capacity of 4gb, giving you 8gb total

Always put a SSD in your laptop if it doesnt have one. It will fly.

I have two laptops 570 and 572. I need to upgrade my 572 which is i5 (E1 570 is i3). When I add an extra 4 GB DDR3 RAM to my E1 572 from that E1 570 laptop, 572 is not working (power leds turns on but display not). But when I tried this on my 570 both RAMs are working properly. Please tell me the reason. I want to use that 572 model with 8 GB RAM.

Javier Santander 8 gb in one stick is less usefull than 2 sticks with 4 gigs :) when you have 2 sticks, you have 2 x 118 busses, wich can make your cpu send/receive double the amount of data, but splitted between the two sticks
