I love Ace. He's, hands down, the coolest member of Kiss. However, that being said, Paul is no slouch. He looks fantastic, and his vocals are still top notch. Very impressive. Paul is an excellent example of the virtues of hard work and clean living.

Holy fuck, that was way more badass than I was expecting. Killer solo, love that tone, and Paul sounds great.

I love how Paul is using one of his guitars and guitar strap from Kiss. Also Ace still uses his Spaceman guitar strap.

This is what made kiss legendary Paul’s vocals and aces shredding

Despite all their differences...it brings a tear to my eye. Ace right back stage right of Paul Stanley where he should be to this old KISS fan.

This put a smile on my face; to see these two back together( even if it is for just one song)!

Paul and Gene demolished ALL their credibility ages ago regarding ever having any respect towards past band members. Great idea! I think that I always felt that way too. Gene is the ego/showman. Peter is a great drummer and good singer, but he just never seemed to fit, somehow. Always seemed like the odd man out. This song is really good! Paul just singing normally. Not screaming or straining. Great combination!

The only reason I came to check this out was that I read an interview with Ace saying Paul did a great vocal on this,I found that hard to believe as Paul has sounded like shit for years now.I have to admit I was impressed as the original is sung by one of the greatest vocalist of our time Paul Rodgers.Paul Stanley should sing in this lower register more often he sounded fantastic on this track.

This was made for a cover album, and most fans of early KISS like classic rock, so probably a lot of them. Free was a huge influence on Paul Stanley too, and he even based Hotter Than Hell off of All Right Now (which he and Ace almost covered instead of Fire and Water).

Michael Leidy you'd be surprised at the number of fans of classic rock that have never even heard of Free, let alone listened to any of their material. I'm sure there are some KISS fans that listen to Free but I wouldn't go so far as to say there's many of them. Free also heavily influenced Lynyrd Skynyrd and yet loads more people have listened to Skynyrd than Free...

This song still has punch for being 50 YEARS OLD 😎. Rock On FREE!

Peter hand,t been the same since his car crash in 78. Then the self destruction mode from substance abuse onwards really fuk s a person up,especially drummers.moto n co,ordination skills suffer big time.plus peter was like 10yrs older than the others.

Kossoff was the master of saying a lot with just a few well chosen notes. His vibrato and the way he bent the notes were unlike anyone else

Paul and Ace. Two musicians who got much better at their craft as time went on. Two of the very best, now. I'm thrilled to hear them do the title track of Free's last studio album. It's an iconic Free song, and Paul and Ace do it justice!! Extremely well done!!

it's called an Ibanez Iceman - he designed it himself in 1977 on a tour to Japan. It's a classic.

@@johnnyrotten5507 - I went to high school (graduated in 1983) with a classmate who had his own band & the exact same guitar: make, model , & year. I hope he still has it. A definite collector's item, along with the original Kramer Gene Simmons Axe bass, made around 1979 with the aluminum neck. I started playing bass in 1982. If I'd known that at the time, I'd have bought one. The ones made now by Cort can never stand up to the old Kramers.

Look at the smile on both of their faces!!!!! They already know, it’s TIMELESS!!!!!

Love Ace's crunchy style of playing. And when Paul stays in the middle to high middle of his range, he still has a great voice. Problem is, all the stuff he wrote through the 90s was at the outer limits of his range when he was young. Most singers lose that top end as they age. At any rate, great version featuring two rock legends

The most exciting thing that can happen in the Kiss world now is to form "The Stanley/Frehley Experience' and do an album and tour. Selected Kiss songs and both guys solo songs. Would be brilliant!

I have been following ACE since 1975. I had my first meet and greet with ACE last year. WOW! ACE was so nice. I now have my LP signed and my life is complete.

Well done boys, been a Free fan all my life, it's obvious you two have been as well. RIP Koss and Fraser....there will never be another Koss, that vibrato still to this day is what many aspire to achieve.... 50 yrs later and to think he was 20 when this was recorded. No gimmicks, a guitar, an amp and pure raw talent.

How in the Hell am I just now hearing this? Excellent, and yes, they still got it... Ace tearing it up...
