Even though the is no recurring characters in this game, i have a sneaky suspicion that there could be an evolution to the Zone Of Endless AI unit ftom Ace Combat Cross Rumble series and there could be a new Adf series fighter as seen in 1:54, had to keep playing back to get a good look at it.

Definitely going to buy it. Missed ACE COMBAT

FA18 not able to do a full cobra... and while they are maneuverable, and tried that, they are sitting ducks if they miss a shot because they lose all their air speed. If the AIM missiles miss from a distance, it's generally toast in close combat because it cant maintain air speed in tight turns.

Looking forward to this game and play it in VR, lets hope they go back to the roots of the game.

VulpisFoxfire apparently you never played Ace Combat 2 or Ace Combat Cross Rumble (Japan), also known as Ace combat Assault Horizon Legacy (American), in which the hero of The Allied forces was the mercenary squadron 3718, Special Tactical Fighter Squadron Scarface. In which the leader of Scarface Squadron was named Phoenix and that is who he is referring to. Sorry for the long response, got carried away.

If you cut the power at the exact time, the F-18's can go to 90 degrees... But, they will take time to regain speed and altitude. The "kink" of the Cobra is to keep the momentum right after the vertical stall is achieved.

The only thing I want in a ace combat game its to see one more time the demon lord that will be awesome

There are References to Ac 4 and 5 including there is a reference to the Razgriz REAL late in the Campaign

Never played any games of this series before. Looks very "Arcady", but pretty cool to me; the aircraft models are really excellent. Is there any logical explanation in the game why jet fighters of different periods (including "the future" (registered trademark)) are mixed so wildly together? Or is it a typical case of "BECAUSE, deal with it!"?

More than likely they will be mentioned. I dont see why they wouldn't be, they are one of Oseas greatest squadrons to ever take to the sky. However I doubt they'll actually appear in the game. AC5 did mention that they never took to the sky again after the Circum-Pacific War.

We're talking about the dudes who built Stonehenge and quite possibly one of the most advanced craft to exist for a while (the X-02). Hell, they even had an advanced enough AI to fly them during Operation Katina. Belka might have the edge in skill (prior to the Belkan War), but Erusea is definitely is ahead in technology.
