Part 2 of the BrunsNick vs. Dasha Kovalova Accuracy Challenge!
Can a lowly KZreadr beat a PWBA Major Champion in an accuracy challenge?
That's exactly what I have set out to do!
HERE ARE THE RULES:
Tape will be placed on a board at the arrows and another around the 40' mark down lane. Bowlers will take turns throwing shots. In order to get a point, the bowler must hit both marks AND strike. If both bowlers hit the marks and strike in the same round, the point is cancelled! After a point is earned, the loser of that round chooses the locations for the marks for the next round. First bowler to 5 points WINS!

The laid back and serious dynamics of these videos with Dasha are enjoyable to watch
I really admire how she goes from joking and goofing around to just turning it off, becoming dead serious and having that primal focus when she's on the approach. I always found it kind of difficult to switch gears like that, so I always came across like I was being too serious all the time when I was competing. Way to go, you two. 👍

The most important trait an athlete can possibly have on this Earth... whether they're a bowler, a martial artist, a boxer, a race car driver, a golfer, a baseball player, or whatever... Self-control. Physically... mentally... emotionally... If you've got that going for you on those fronts... your destiny is as much in your hands as you possibly can make it. That's why Dasha's a PWBA champion. :) She's got self-control at a fairly high level, and she's in shape enough to KEEP it, game after game.
Her concentration face is too cute. Loved the dance break!

In the old days Bowlers like Earl or Hardwick could hit half a board consistently at the arrows. I remember reading that Bo Burton would aim to try and hit a crack in a board, basically a 1mm target at the arrows. As an Senior ultra low rev Full Roller, accuracy and placement is my whole game. Dasha is pretty darn good!

So here is my math process: I pick my arrows(15), and break point(10), then I substract breakpoint number from arrow number (15-10), then when I get that’s number I divide it by 2 and round it up ( 5:2 = 2.5 = 3) then I add that number to arrows (15+3 =18) and then I add my personal number ( how many boards is my bowling ball from my ankle plus my drift) (7) to that number (7+18), and that’s how I get where I stand, or at least where I have to stand in the beginning, +- 2 boards for comfort, depending on a pattern and an angle.

@@dashakovalova7325 8 out of 6 people know that I'm bad at math, and you mathing is entirely too much mathing for me. For me, I just start out standing on 15 and throw out to around 8, then adjust from there. I definitely don't have the revs and have to play it straighter, similar to you.
If you don't like Dasha, I don't like you.
