Totally agree with you Terry, once you go Accuphase you never go back! Loving my unit and it wow's lot of people when they hear it.

@@mikeg2491 lol I can buy the fm300a clone and you'll never believe what it can do, it beats out any of those expensive amp, transparency, detail, wide big holographic soundstage. I laughed at people who spent that kind of money on the so-called high end

"Pre Out Front" from the AV, to the „Main" on the E 480. But the volume, I think, is then controlled by the AV, because you only use the amplifier section from the E 480.

Thank you for this video!!!! I have decided that I am stepping up to Accuphase. I am looking to get a pair of B&W 805 D3 or the 705 Sig but until I do, I have the B&W CDM 9NT, in your opinion will the E270 be enough for the CDM 9NT’s? 🙈. I listen at ‘low’ volume & really am only interested in clarity & detail & am happy to add a REL for this purpose. This is an older video so I do not expect a reply but with your experience I sure would be incredibly grateful for your input!!! It’s quite a lot of money to make a mistake 🙈🙈. Kind regards, Stu. Hello, B&W speakers from our experience always appreciate more power than you think they need. For thespeakers you mentioned I would recommend the E-380.

How would you compare Accuphase to Luxman M10x?

I think they make nice products BUT like others here are saying their prices in the US are so marked up they aren't worth it. You can get the same quality for far less with other companies products!

We are aware that in the US the prices of Accuphase are more expensive relative to other regions and so we understand if they can appear ‘overpriced’. But we would still argue that if you want the absolute best sound, Accuphase is still the answer, and the premium price is just what you have to pay to get it. Check out the video comparing Accuphase, Luxman and Yamaha integrated amplifiers by Zero Fidelity. He does a great explanation on what the Accuphase does that comparable amps can’t.

In FACT here on KZread, Jays Audio Lab talks specifically about this exact topic and this completely backs up my statement. Got a Accuphase E 306 and old Sansui AU 9500 I Prefer the Sansui it just sounds sweeter

How big is the difference in sound quality between the e380 and the e480?

Depends on the speakers you use. Personally after listening to them both we find the E-380 to have a slightly more 'musical' sound than the 480, but if you have thirsty speakers that require more power, the benefits of having a more powerful amplifier in that instance would be worth it.

Absolutely cannot justify going from Luxman to Accuphase at US prices. Unfortunate? Not really. In Japan for example, the Acc E280 can be had for under 3k USD. In the US the amp is close to 7k!

@@henriksrensen3220 I listened to system that he bought and he did it audition on vinyl rig. But there was something to wrong with the cartridge so they used a streamer and it sounded thin. And they all were playing through the big Mac with top of the line Sonus Faber Amati something.

Not sure what sync issues you’re referring to. I just rewatched the video and apart from the part at the very beginning where our lapel mics cut out and we had to use the ambient mic audio, it all sounded ok to me.

Don't get great reviews everywhere for that kind of cash.

Its really too bad how overpriced these products are from the dealers (Huge Markups) here in the US. There are actually much better choices for the money and Accuphase just can't compete here for the prices they are asking!

Accuphase are amp from the NASA 😂
