Beautiful amp, great design

Tone control and balance 👍🏼👍🏼

Greetings from the UK. I would love to visit New Zealand but doubt that will ever be possible. I have an Accuphase C2150 preamp and an A48 power that I purchchased earlier this year. Aside from the fantastic sound and build quality, I love those huge VU meters.

Amazing set up!

How does this compare to the lower cost integrated amplifiers like the E-280? Is it a large difference in sound quality?

There is a large difference in sound quality. Best way to appreciate the difference is to listen to both amps. But if I had to pick one thing, obviously the E-650 is Class A and the E-280 is class AB. The class A amplifiers are a lot smoother sounding and just present a much larger sound stage and have more control over the speaker.

How do you think this amp with Roger LS 3/5a 15 ohm?

Do you think this amp is powered enough to drive 86 dB speakers ? What do you recommand ?

Yes

Class A transistor has the best quality sound but not as much power as AB, B etc.
