Accident with Fire Oxford Valley and Cobalt Ridge Dr | Levittown, PA.

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

8/11/16 Accident involving a pickup truck and Bucks County Transit van in Levittown. A postal worker armed with an extinguisher kept the flames down until firefighters arrived. William Penn Engine 77 arrived with three on board and went in service with their 1" 3/4 bumper line. Rescue 31 from Fairless Hills assisted 77's crew by opening the hood with hydraulic spreaders. Middletown Township Patrolmen interviewed the involved parties and conducted their investigation on scene. No injuries were reported. Fire Police from Falls Twp assisted with traffic control.

They should be dressed for action before they arrive at scene, they take to long to get water on the flames and looks like they haven't had adequate training as to release bonnets or engine hoods, ask the British firefighters how to do it they would be happy to help. But saying that you guys you do ok, keep it up. Regards from little old England.

Stephen Of Dorset I agree they should of been ready when exiting the rig but the also looked to be a volunteer department. sometimes it's hard to get adequate training when people have to work and personal lives. it's also an extreme low priority call so the lack of extreme hussle isn't a major deal.

Great video Ron! On a side note, the hood on the Dakota would have pried open a little easier for the firemen if they would have put the bar between the grill and bumper since that's where the latch is. The grill is attached to the hood.

Thanks for pointing that out. I did not realize that either until you mentioned it. This video can be used as a training tool now for fighting different style vehicle fires.

"put some water on it" at 3:32 lol. Ya, while he waits for his partner to finally mask-up and remember to put her gloves on!! And the guy working the tool got no shield or goggles on because nobody knows how to force a hood.. wow..

Totally amateur first responders! Need more training and should have their gear on and ready for action as soon as engine stops , not even sure if they know where their protective equipment is on their garb!

Probably is/was a VFF, he yells to the FF gearing up that he will need a halligan to open the hood.

That guy in the beginning thought he was a badass hahahaha. Just standing in the smoke inhaling toxic shit with his little red fire extinguisher hahaha. What a fucking dope, you can clearly see that it's going until a hose gets to it. I would have loved to see one of them pop that hood lol. Fuel lines go and the dude walks casually around the back haha.

Im my opinion, the officer was not ready and they took too long to put water on the fire. The officer should of had her mask on before she exited the rig, so she could of quickly stretched the front bumper line and went right to work. Instead, she took too long to exit the rig, and when the line was charged then she decided to mask up which wasted valuable time. Show some hussle!

You're right, she should have done all her radio comms with her mask on. Hell, why not do it on air too just for shits and giggles.

e-dub productions right hahaha. Took me a minute and 37 seconds to actually hit it with water. There volunteer and she fucked the mask thing up but the truck was a lose anyway. They wasted maybe 45 seconds

My thoughts exactly, if you r going to b packed up an r fully dressed before u get on scene all u had to do was go on air, grab the nozzle an start hitting the fire, like the 2nd ff was, he was totally dressed an ready to go and she wasnt, come on here Lead by Example

Of the firefighters only tried to use the hood release located lnside the drivers side the hood probably would have been easy to pop open instead of mutilatig the hood beyond repair!
