My sincere thanks for creating this astonishing and breathtaking video. As an Emeritus Oxford Professor of Early Medieval History, now living far away in my retirement, this video has brought back an absolute flood of memories. Most of the many decades of my academic career was within the analogue era, which often required great patience - and foot walking to access a particular manuscript - if one was lucky !!! These days, I am able to view items of interest with previously limited access many stunning manuscripts via , amongst others, the increasingly impressive digital collections, such as The Bodleian Online resource. Thank you once again - wonderfully presented by all involved !!!!!! :)

What an absolute treasure trove! The assumption seems to be that any possible users are going to be students from the university. Are these collections open to external users, for example an independent researcher and writer such as myself? And if they are, what sort of ID or reference is required?

As @orglancs says, what do you do to access these books if you're not a student or teacher? I am an independent researcher and bookbinder doing my own studies to learn.
