Not sure I enjoyed it Sarah😔 A cruel way to end someone's life. Religion has a lot to answer for. They will however, never be forgotten. R.I.P.

Really loud intro music then squeaky stupid vocals! Nightmare for audio!

Thomas the martyr, Convicted for heresy against he Catholic Church by Queen Bloody Mary Carman 15GGF 1517-1558 12th great-grandfather Now I understand the gaps in my family history thanks
These 3 bishops were The Three Blind Mice. The farmer was the King of Spain who had a lot of land, the farmer’s wife was Mary Queen of Scots, and the bishops were considered blind mice for being blind to the Catholic faith. Cranmer was the Martin Luther of England.
I think Dr. Kay said it best, Mary may have won a battle but it was a hollow victory. In her hatred, she let Cranmer undermine her and I legitimately believe this incident is a huge catalyst in her being called ‘Bloody Mary’. I think had she just let him go like Canon law decreed she would have been better off in the long run and it would’ve been more of a victory for her, forcing him to live as a hypocritical Catholic rather than die a heroic Protestant

@adolphCat he was Protestant. Before he was Archbishop of Canterbury he was married in the continent and I think had children. Which you can’t really do if your a Catholic bishop

@@awseven1144 Why not? All the Apostels save Paul were married. Or is it your belief that the Protestant Faith is older than the Catholic Faith. The essence of being Catholic is to have the Historical Christian Faith according to the Whole Church East and West in all times and places, the essence of being Protestant is to have a Faith rooted in the culture of the Western University System of the 16th century excluding the wider Historical Experience of the Church East and West in all times and places. So, Protestants focus their Faith on one time period and on the University System of a narrow geographical region.

@@awseven1144 I gave an answer that was good food for thought but it was deleted because of the Religious Bigotry of those who Censor these comments. That is the problem with trying to have a Religious conversation many people try to silence those they disagree with and are against exploring the issues that divide us so that we have a chance at coming to Common Conclusions. Those that have a vested interest in maintaining Religious conflict between Protestants and Catholics for their own Sectarian Passions... Freedom of Speech is something we should all fight for over and against the sensors. My comments are unwelcome here since I have the wrong Religion and so I leave this site. This is not to criticize you as we both gave our honest opinions, this is just a protest against the Censorship on this site.
I would prefer without music.
I know that Cramner was in a bad position but I am sure he had much guilt over the situation he was embroiled in during Anne's down fall

I wonder if he did… or whether Mary had any pangs of guilt over their destruction….or did their religious convictions override their sense of humanity? I wish I knew the answer.

Many maneuvers by these and others chasing the chimera of this/that world.
Thomas the martyr, Convicted for heresy against the Catholic Church by Queen Bloody Mary 12GGF 1517-1558 BIRTH 1517 • Hemel, Helpstead, England DEATH 19 MAY 1558 • Burned at stake, Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, England
A superb study on forced conversion and its heroes.
So much murder ,,,on both sides and why ? A subject that no one knows anything about but so many are certain that they know more than everyone else .

So true!
This is exactly what is so wrong with Henry. He never should have been allowed to annul that marriage: if there is any issue, the marriage cannot be annulled. There must be a divorce. I also think that Henry killed his brother, or ordered his death. He usurped his brother's wife by false, and nefarious means. He deserved having no sons. He should have been deposed as king and not allowed to carry out his whims just because he was king. Of course this last statement can apply to any royal who forces their whims upon their subjects.

Catholics are not permitted to divorce , are they !
My father was jewish, my mother catholic, my husband anglican. I told my son to adopt the religion of the situation and keep his convictions for himself. Example: he behaved catholic in his catholic school and anglican in his Church of England school. I think he is partly agnostic partly atheist. I also told him to run away from fanatics because they are worse than the Covid
@annchovey2089

With that kind of advice, no wonder he doesn’t know what to believe. Covid is a temporary situation. What you believe affects how you live your life here and hereafter.

@@annchovey2089 On the contrary, he has an open mind. I didn't want to raise a fanatic. He'll decide for himself but at the moment he is serene. Also he knows the dogmes of the main religions.

@@annchovey2089 This is a great question! Do they think they have the mission of saving the others? I think I have a mission because I don't believe in God. Because I believe we are alone, I believe we have to help each other because there is nobody else. I try to be useful to people whenever it is possible.
